Did you know that your recipe is the same as PASTA FASULI??!! That's an old Italian recipe that my ancestors have made for centuries... just boil pasta and add your recipe on top of it! Either way, it's DELISH!

Cowboy Cookies III

This recipe also makes a FANTASTIC COOKIE BAR! I have no cookie sheet and was craving an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. I put the whole recipe into a greased 13 by 9 inch pan and they came out GREAT! I also was out of vanilla and low on sugar so I put in a quarter cup less sugar. I had no brown sugar, so I substituted white and added a teaspoon of mollassas to it. They still came out DELISH!! Next time, I'm gonna follow the whole recipe and use nuts as well! THANKS FOR SHARING THE GREAT RECIPE!!

Turkey Pinwheel

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
I'm sure this is a great recipe but they had it listed under low carb recipes and on a low carb diet you can not have any breadcrumbs or ketchup, both of which are ingredients in this recipe. I will try it with tomato puree and find a substitute for the breadcrumbs. You may want to lessen the salt it calls for, too, because cheeses are salty and people often forget that. Other than all of this, it sounds like a really great recipe!

Tomato Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
DELISH!!! the only changes i made, and only because i had to being on a low carb diet, was to replace the sugar with a couple of Splenda 'pills', leave out the chicken stock and baking soda--i found it dosent need it, I used butter instead of margerine, added a bit of basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper and i used my trusty potatoe masher on the canned tomatoes and it worked great! OH, IS THIS DELICOUS! this would make a great base for steak or sauteed meat and veggies!

Apple Crisp III

i think there's a misprint here. Shouldn't that 3/4 cup be BUTTER instead of milk? I chanllenge anyone who hates this recipe to exchange the milk for melted butter and see how it comes out then.

Butter Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
This is the best butter cake recipe I've ever tasted! One reviewer said it was coarse textured, but it is not. If you want a finer texture to a cake, use cake flour or pastry flour. Also very important, bake it for 40 minutes, not 50 or 55 minutes! I made this for my 2nd wedding anniversary with a vanilla buttercream frosting and strawberry filling and oh! What a hit it was! Thank you for sharing!

Bubble 'n' Squeak

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2003
Super idea! I used turkey sausage instead of the ham. I found that the pan needs to be pretty hot in order to brown this nicely----you wouldn't think the cabbage in it would be too good, but it was great!
