Great bread, but only used 5 c. flour. I made it in the bread machine to dough stage, then baked on cookie sheet.

Dog Biscuits I

This is a great recipe! I didn't have wheat germ so I used all natural oat bran cereal. I pressed the dough into a mini Christmas Tree cookie pan that had 12 trees in it,they came out adorable. Some for our dogs and the neighbors for a Christmas present. Thanks for submitting this. Susan in NC

This a delicious, MOIST date nut cake. I never thought I would find one! The only change I made was I substituted 1/2 C. of the water for 1/2 C. brandy. This made it awesome! Yummmmmmmy! Thank you for submitting this recipe. Susan in NC

Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I have made this recipe and "Moist Cinnamon Rolls" from this site. I like the dough part on Moist Cinnamon Rolls better but love this caramel version. Instead of ice cream I use 1/2 C. heavy cream and I double the recipe also adding pecans. It is great. Sorry, this dough version just isn't to my liking.

Sweet Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2006
I made this in my bread machine. The only change I made was 3 Tbsp brown sugar and 1 Tbsp white, and I added 1 tsp. ground nutmeg. I used sweet potaots I grew in my garden. I think those who said they were not as orange colored as they anticipated maybe used canned sweet potatos. Mine were very orange, absolutely gorgeous! I served with honey butter. This is a wonderful recipe and a great use for sweet potatos.

Wonderful recipe. I was looking for a scalia bread recipe and this is the closest I have found. UPDATE 10/08/06: At the kneading stage add 1 Tbsp. dried rosemary for great oil dipping bread with an Italian dinner. Awesome!

Moist Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
I am actually writing this review hoping to get some tips from others. This recipe had a great dough texture (I like my sticky buns to be realy yeasty and soft not like bread) and the flavor was very good, but I ran into the problem I always do when I make cinnamon pecan sticky bun type stuff. Too Dry! not enough of the sticky stuff. So should I just triple the sauce recipe or something to make it more gooey? Other than that nice recipe, easy but time consuming. Thanks. Update Dec. 5 2006: This is a great dough recipe but I use the caramel recipe on "Cinnamon Rolls I" posted on this site. I double the caramel recipe and use pecans rather than walnuts. Great!

Baklava

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2004
Donna, Thank you for submitting this recipe. It is absolutly unbelievable! I am an excellent baker but I have always been intimidated by phyllo. I have always ordered baklava from a bakery or even mail order. This was so easy and beautiful, not to mention Yummy! I omited the vanilla and grated 1/2 tsp orange rind and 1Tbsp orange juice. It is so good. Can't wait to make it for Christmas.
