About this Cook
I work full time and this makes it hard to do a lot of cooking. I'm trying to go completely natural and not use any ready made foods or packaged products. This site has made it easier to make healthy, natural foods that taste great. Any recipe can be adapted to incorporate all natural products.
My favorite things to cook
I love casseroles!! One pan and a different taste all the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love our Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cooking/baking traditions. Home cooking seems to make a house more of a warm home.
My cooking triumphs
I made a fantastic gumbo that was an amazing hit in my family. It took a long time, but was well worth it.
My cooking tragedies
Searing tuna. Dry dry dry!! It got much better, but the first time was horrible. :(

Oh, Cod!
I tried this recipe last night and it was amazing. The flavors blended together so well. It was definitely NOT bland. My entire family loved it.

Ham Loaf I
My husband's grandmother made this for him growing up. I tried over and over to replicate it. When I found this recipe, he went crazy. He said it was the best he ever ate and I have to agree with him. This was amazing. I don't know what mistake someone made that they had to throw it away, because this was perfect.

Fresh Broccoli Salad
I loved the recipe as is. I made this a few times and didn't change a thing! I always use fresh broccoli and not the prepackaged.. it always has a chemical taste no matter how long I wash it. Real bacon and real sugar is the way to go. Only fresh and from scratch in our house. We're going completely natural and this is the only way to go for freshness. Thanks for the great salad recipe.
