Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2007
Very Good! My son thinks it's lasagna...whatever makes him eat! Thanks for the recipe. ***UPDATE*** I made this for a luncheon at work and put it in the crock pot. I cooked everything the night before but didn't mix the noodles with the sauce and cheese. I layered it in the crock pot in the morning, turned it on high for the first hour and then down to low and by lunchtime...it was gone! There are never any leftovers!

Marshmallow Treats

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
I bought the generic cereal and there wasn't a recipe on it, so as usual I knew I could rely on this site. They came out delicious and were gone before they cooled. P.S. It helps me to put butter on my hands and then push the treats in the pan...no sticking!

Bella's Rosemary Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Have also made these on the grill. I like to coat the potatoes with some bacon grease instead of the oil and butter...a little fattier alteration, but so fab! I love rosemary with potatoes...you can't go wrong.

World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
I LOVE this sauce! I normally have whole canned tomatoes on hand that I just run through the blender and use for this recipe. 2 cans of tomato paste thicken it a little much, so I normally decrease it to one can. Very flavorful and freezes beautifully. Worth the time and effort. The house always smells heavenly when this is cooking. Thanks for a great recipe John!

Funnel Cakes IV

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
It takes a little practice to get the "swirling" down. First time it came out looking like fried noodles, so we made a bigger hole in the bottle we used. That worked better and we had it down by the third one. Should have doubled the recipe to compensate for our trials. Kids definitely enjoyed it as did the adults. Thanks for a wonderful recipe that worked great for my sons carnival themed birthday party.

Smothered Filet Mignon

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
I used rib eyes instead, but OMG these were delicious! I love cheese and never thought to put it on my steak. I have tried it with a couple different cheeses and they are all fabulous. My fav is smoked gouda. Everything goes perfectly together in this recipe. Thank you!

Marilyn's Cheesy Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
This is A++. I have never made it with cheese and I am a cheese freak. Only difference I did was omit the cornstarch and carrots and used 2 cups milk and 2 cups half & half. Thanks for a great recipe.

Easiest Pot Roast Ever

This is a great recipe. So easy and smells so good coming home from work to (almost like Mom's in the kitchen). I used beef broth (no beef bouillon) and a bay leaf. Yum!Yum!Yum!

My mom has been making these green beans for years and now I make them for my family. My kids love them. I usually add country ham if I have it. Good Home Cookin'!

Shepherd's Pie Daddy's Way

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
5 stars for ease and 4 stars for taste. I liked the flavor the golden mushroom soup added to the meat. I threw in some peas and instead of American slices, I used Swiss. Easy to change up, so we will be keeping this one.

The Best Ever Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
These weren't just like chik-fil-a (which is why I tried them) but they were really good. I thought the amount of garlic salt would be overpowering, but it wasn't that noticeable to us. I served them with Yummy Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce from this site. Thanks for a great recipe...these will be our Happy Meal from now on.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
I am not a bean eater at all...but this is AMAZING! I love this dip. Next time I will use less dressing because the beans seemed to be swimming in it after sitting overnight. Thanks for a wonderful recipe, you have made a bean eater out of me. Great Success!!! **UPDATE** Although I just reviewed this 2 days ago, I must say I have been obsessed with this recipe. Since this makes a lot, I used the last of the leftovers last night in a "mexican pizza". I added left over chicken to the bean salsa and heated it just a bit. I then layered it between layers of tortillas and cheese and baked at 350 for 30 minutes. Topped with sour cream and it was delicious. I'll say it again...I LOVE THIS RECIPE!

Spinach Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
This tastes like spinach lasagna. It was very flavorful. I halved the recipe and wished I had made all of it. Next time will freeze half and cook half. I had left over filling that I used to make stuffed mushrooms.

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
I made this last night and we loved the flavors together. I used the pork loin chops, which were harder to stuff and a little tougher than if I had used the bone in chops as directed. Will make this again and also try with apples as suggested by other reviewers.

Old Time Kentucky Bacon Milk Gravy for Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2014
This is how my momma always made gravy and taught me. The only difference is 1.) We don't measure - just guess and 2.) We don't cook the flour for 15 minutes, just a minute or two. You can use sausage grease as well and crumble cooked sausage in it for a nice sausage gravy too. Super easy and delicious.

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
These were good. With any burger, before grilling, pop the patties into the freezer for about 10 minutes. It helps hold in the juices and makes for a super flavorful burger.

Spinach Whole Wheat Quesadillas

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
These were great. We have been trying to eat less meat, and these make a great lunch. I have made them a few times and we like them with mozzarella or feta cheese. Goes nice with the spinach. Update: Try adding artichokes - OMG! YUM!
