Shepherd's Pie Daddy's Way

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
5 stars for ease and 4 stars for taste. I liked the flavor the golden mushroom soup added to the meat. I threw in some peas and instead of American slices, I used Swiss. Easy to change up, so we will be keeping this one.

Yummy Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
This was quick, easy and delicious. I served it with The Best Ever Chicken Nuggets recipe from this site. Would like to try with veggies as suggested by Diva. Sounds Yummo!

The Best Ever Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
These weren't just like chik-fil-a (which is why I tried them) but they were really good. I thought the amount of garlic salt would be overpowering, but it wasn't that noticeable to us. I served them with Yummy Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce from this site. Thanks for a great recipe...these will be our Happy Meal from now on.

Ali's Amazing Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
My family and friends love this recipe. Like others I add garlic and more cheese. I use baguette bread and slice it really thin, this makes it nice and crispy. If time is hurried, I will broil these and they turn out just as crunchty as baking them. Definitely a keeper. Thanks!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
We weren't crazy about the sauce the first time we made these, so I cheated after that and just used Frank's Buffalo Wing Sauce with added butter, but still used the cooking method of this recipe and it was much more tasty.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
I am not a bean eater at all...but this is AMAZING! I love this dip. Next time I will use less dressing because the beans seemed to be swimming in it after sitting overnight. Thanks for a wonderful recipe, you have made a bean eater out of me. Great Success!!! **UPDATE** Although I just reviewed this 2 days ago, I must say I have been obsessed with this recipe. Since this makes a lot, I used the last of the leftovers last night in a "mexican pizza". I added left over chicken to the bean salsa and heated it just a bit. I then layered it between layers of tortillas and cheese and baked at 350 for 30 minutes. Topped with sour cream and it was delicious. I'll say it again...I LOVE THIS RECIPE!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
I made this for Father's Day and it was good. The edges were hard, but the inside was really moist and delicious. I only baked it for 50 minutes and that was too long. Next time I will add more seasonings to boost the flavor.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
These were good, not the best, but good. 9 minutes seem to be the optimal cooking time. Any longer and they lost their gooey goodness.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
This tastes like spinach lasagna. It was very flavorful. I halved the recipe and wished I had made all of it. Next time will freeze half and cook half. I had left over filling that I used to make stuffed mushrooms.

Grilled Mushroom Swiss Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
As written I would give 3.5 stars. I made this a couple times trying to improve upon it to fit our tastes and I found adding a can of Golden Mushroom condensed soup, in lieu of the soy sauce, to the mushrooms really gives it a thicker and much tastier sauce. Fresh mushrooms cooked in butter up the flavor as well.

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
I made this last night and we loved the flavors together. I used the pork loin chops, which were harder to stuff and a little tougher than if I had used the bone in chops as directed. Will make this again and also try with apples as suggested by other reviewers.

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
Despite my Hubby burning these on the grill, they were still good. I stopped by the gas station to grab some pineapple juice, but all they had was a pineapple-peach-mango juice, so I used that. I think it made it sweeter than the original recipe calls for.

Olive Oil Dip for Italian Bread

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
This was Okay. I did not add as much garlic...5 cloves just seemed extreme (cut to 2). Make sure you use a really good olive oil and balsamic vinegar for the best taste.

Cream Puffs I

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
I tried this recipe for the shells because I was out of butter and couldn't make my usual ones. I don't know what happened, but I did not care for this recipe. The did not rise or even cook through after being in the oven 20 minutes longer than called for. They were very greasy as well. Sorry for such a low rating. If this was my first time making the puffs, I would have thought I did something wrong, but I followed the recipe to a T.

We loved these. Mine were a little limp, but tasted fabulous! Will try using panko bread crumbs next time.

Fried Okra

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
I'd like to give this a better rating, but as written it just wasn't that good. The breading fell off and the okra wasn't that crunchy. The third batch I made, I used 1/2 cup milk and let the okra sit and absorb it for about an hour. Then dredged it in cornmeal mixed with a bit of zataran's seasoning....much better!!!

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
These were good. With any burger, before grilling, pop the patties into the freezer for about 10 minutes. It helps hold in the juices and makes for a super flavorful burger.

Shirley Temple I

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I loved ordering these when I was a kid, and now my kids love them too. We always have something going on at our house, so it's a real treat for them to have a "grown up" drink. I normally make this in batches, but I think the recipe calls for too much grenadine per soda amount.

Bacon 'n' Egg Bundles

The family loves when we make these. We let everyone put their own "toppings" in their egg (green pepper, onion, ham, cheese, tomato, etc.)They are so cute, you can't help put gobble them up.

Spinach Whole Wheat Quesadillas

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
These were great. We have been trying to eat less meat, and these make a great lunch. I have made them a few times and we like them with mozzarella or feta cheese. Goes nice with the spinach. Update: Try adding artichokes - OMG! YUM!
