In the past I didn't cook very often. My husband liked to cook and I gladly let him. Now, I enjoy cooking and trying out new, healthy recipes. Although sometimes I let it go and forget the nutrition info.
My favorite things to cook
I usually like to cook healthy, with as little meat as possible. We usually eat fish or broiled chicken, or go vegetarian.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On Thanksgiving Day we serve sweet potato casserole. So we fix it the night before and let it marry. My mom, aunt and I all get in the kitchen and prepare the meal together. Then we repeat again on Christmas Day.
My cooking triumphs
I'm getting better and better with my cooking. I've learned little tricks from The Cooking Channel that really help. I'm burning less food and fixing it so it taste better
My cooking tragedies
I used to burn a lot of sauteed onions and garlic which ruined the flavor of the dish. (I still do occasionally) I have tried baking some muffins and brownies and forgot a key ingredient and they weren't cooked at all inside.
