Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
This was my first time attempting Chicken Cordon Blue with my husband’s help. We used Chicken stock instead of White Wine thanks to another reviewer. My tip would be to make sure you have a good brand of tooth picks on hand. We used a no name brand and they kept breaking, I'm sure that's a no brainer but we wanted to use what we had on hand and found out the hard way. Loved this, I will use it again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
I've made this recipe for many years. I like to add minced garlic and french onions to mix it up a bit. This also works very well with pork. The gravy is delicious!

Aaahh! Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
I had my doubts about this recipe. Boy was I wrong. Wow, it is that easy. I used Trader Joe's Au Gratin Cheese Potatoes mix. The smell was incredible. Like Raymond stated I needed a little extra water and I added a little extra cream because it simmered for awhile prior to eating. This is a keeper. Incredible! I also added cheddar cheese, chives and bacon as a topper.

Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
Wow, finally a recipe that I didn't have to modify in any way, right down to the time in the oven. Everyone gobbled this right up and I found myself going for seconds after the guests left. I served hot out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla bean ice-cream.

Pumpkin Spiced and Iced Cookies

Tastes like Fall. Loved it and didn't change a thing. I think next time I'll try adding a little cream cheese to the frosting drizzle.

Super yummy! Great to do with kids. I had a little overflow using the 3 cans so next time I'll use less.

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
I made this for a family potluck more as a joke because I'm not a big tuna lover but wow! I was bragging it up and calling it gourmet tuna casserole once I tried it. I added peas to sneak in a little veggies.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Creamy, comfort...I followed this recipe to a "T". When I asked my husband what he would change my son yelled out "Nothing"! I think next time I’ll add chives to half of the dish for the adults but I’m not complaining. This would be a great dish for a potluck. It really makes a huge amount in a 9x13 pan. I switched the oven to Broil for the last 2 minutes.

Tartar Sauce I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Simple, simple! This took me maybe 2 minutes to prepare. Very nice clean taste. I added about 1 tsp. of the juice from the relish just to thin it out a little. I wouldn't skip the lemon juice. The smell and taste of the freash lemon really makes this special.

Chocolate Nutty Mini-Football Treats™

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I just made these for the 2010 Superbowl with the help from my 10 yr. old son and niece. They are super simple. I didn't have cocoa crispies but easily substituted the chocolate by adding 1/2 cup of melted semi-sweet chocolate chips to the marshmallow mix.

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Great Recipe! My husband loves cornflakes in the breading so the only thing I changed was instead of 2 cups of flour I had 1 cup flour and 1 cup crushed cornflakes.

Fresh Cherry Crisp

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
Very Tasty! I had presweetened canned cherries that I wanted to use up so I didn't add the sugar or flour to the cherries. This recipe is easily modified if you don't have fresh fruit on hand. The cherries bubble up under the gorgeous golden crisp. Topped off with vanilla ice cream this is a true crowd pleaser. I'm just kicking myself for not taking a picture. It looks that good. This recipe is a keeper!

Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie

This was so good, for sure I'll make it again. One tip, do not add more sugar. While mixing I added more sugar (it tasted bitter) to make it sweeter and WOW. It was sweet. Just follow the recipe.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2008
I used this recipe for a cookie exchange and it was a huge hit! I did chocolate cake with chocolate frosting drizzled with white chocolate. The second one I did was white cake with the white confetti frosting dipped in white chocolate drizzled with red and green )for Christmas) chocolate...The kids loved that one!
