Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
Loved this meal. Someone shopped for me and got me purple cabbage. I didn't have time to go back to the store so I tried to make do = it's much thicker than green cabbage, so I boiled it longer but it still was too stiff most of the time, and too hard to peel off the head, even after 20 min. in the freezer, as suggested by many. But the meat mixture is delicious. I combined aspects of other cabbage roll recipes and did it in the crock pot over sauerkraut and tomato sauce on top. Everyone really liked it, but I will be sure to specify green cabbage next time!

Banana Cake VI
This is an excellent cake! However, after the hour at 275F it was still jiggly in the middle, so I raised it to 325 for about 15 minutes and then it was done. I wasn't going to put it in the freezer, but after 10 minutes on the counter I decided to try it, so did the 45 min in the freezer. I also did half whole wheat flour and no lemon juice because we have a citrus allergy in my family. Don't know if all that made any difference, but it is DELICIOUS!! It is light and fluffy and rose all the way to the top of the pan! I think it would be great with nuts, but then my kids would never eat it and I'd be stuck with all 60,000 calories! The frosting is very thick, so you could make less if you want it less decadent. But my family loves it!
