Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
These were wonderful. First batch used olive oil, which I believe made it burn quicker. Second batch, used veg oil, skinned sweet potato, cut ends and sides of potato to make chips, and used the rectangular potato to make perfect in size from one end to the other. Placed on center rack, instead of top rack. These are great! I didn't have taco seasoning, so made the homemade stuff off this web site and it was great also. "Taco Seasoning I " by Bill. It is so good!

Banana Crumb Muffins

These were TOTALLY AWESOME as recipe originally shown. Started throwing overriped bananas in the freezer so that I could make 3 batches at one time. Daughter and I make mini's and eat right out of the freezer.

These was wonderful! Just keep all ingredients on counter until complete so that you can to suit your taste. I added extra tahini, andother time just extra lemon juice, another time I added cumin. All was good with pita chips and as a spread in tortilla roll ups.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Yum! Do not change recipe at all for time! Marinate only 30 minutes. I had cut to 15 minutes marinating time after reading the reviews and watching the salmon soaking up the syrup mixture. Was not too sweet at all and founds ourselves scraping the juices from the pan to add more of the yummy flavor. Next time, will marinate 30 minutes. This was the first time 7yr dd said she liked salmon and the fish sticks were pushed to the side. If you like easy recipes that taste like you spent a lot of time on it, this is a great one. We had fried cabbage/onion with it, and for some reason tasted really good together. I guess the sweet and salty flavors. Will fancy up the side dishes next time we have company with asparagus and roasted potatoes. All ready to eat this again.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
Awesome!!!! I am ready to make this for gifts. Only put half the salt since hubby can't have it. Also added dehydrated onions in additon to the onion powder since we had it and looks good in it. Not a good idea if you are planning to put this in a shaker jar though. Just used it for a sweet potato fries recipe where you mix taco seasoning with oil and bake. Yum!

Roasted Garlic Lemon Broccoli

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
Wonderful flavor and color! Looked nothing like the picture though. I cut ours long and larger florets like the restaurants do with roasted brocoli, so had to add about 10 minutes and little more oil & lemon juice. My picky eaters who don't like to try new things turned their noses up at it since used to steamed, but at least they ate it. Still deserves 5 stars.

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I made a huge batch for a group of teens and they were gone in 2 minutes. Made this recipe as shown and only alteration was using mozorella cheese instead of string cheese (which I believe is the same thing just not paying for the cute little shapes and prepackaged).

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2003
I made a lot of changes to this recipe, but I am sure without my additions, this recipe would have been wonderful. I converted to make a double batch and put half the dropped-dough on a greased cookie sheet to freeze Biscuits for later use (after frozen will put in freezer bags). I used garlic powder instead of fresh minced garlic, also added additional garlic powder to the flour mixture since we are garlic lovers in the household. Also added fresh parmesan to the cheese, and also added parsley to the butter baste. Kids loved it, husband cooking another pan of it right now since he didn't he thought just getting 3 was a tease (they are quite addicting). Biscuits stuck to the pan a bit so using greased pan on the next batch to see if helps.

Honey Garlic Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2003
Wonderful! My kids enjoyed when I added the baking soda and the sauce started bubbling up (be sure to use large bowl), and it made it so easy to coat the ribs. My husband enjoyed this also but he still likes 'barbaqued' ribs better. Felt a little funny about not boiling the ribs in salted water, so went ahead and boiled for about 15-20 minutes first. Shared this recipe with a friend who did not boil and says they still came out tender so the boiling just gave me 1 extra dish to wash. Great recipe. Give it a try if you have not done so yet!
