Chocolate Chess Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2003
I've been making this recipe for years, and it has always been a guest favorite. I have even had people show up at my door because they've heard I made it. I add a bit of salt to the recipe and make sure I've mixed it on high for at least 5 minutes. It taste better the longer it's mixed. As another reviewer said, it's even better as a left over.

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
This is a delicious recipe! I was too lazy to start up the grill when I made this recipe, so I broiled my veggies in foil tents instead. I added some liquid smoke, and they turned out great! I noticed some confusion in the other comments about the focaccia bread. This is a very thin type of bread, and when used for sandwiches it is cut horizontally to make two even thinner slices of bread. Also, this recipe calls for "open face" sandwiches, meaning there is not a slice of bread on top. That is how 4 servings can be made out of 2 pieces of bread, which are each cut in half.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
I'm not the biggest fan of molasses and gingerbread type cookies, but these are a huge, huge, HUGE exception. Oh wow! Beware, these disappear very quickly.

Super Duper Oatmeal

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
I was looking for something to warm me up, and found this recipe. I used old fashioned oats, unsweetened applesauce and frozen blueberries. The blueberries turned the oatmeal purple when added with them all the other ingredients. I bet they can be added towards the end to avoid the color change. I give this 4 stars because the result does seem like it is missing something. I added brown sugar and loved it! Next time I think I'll add a dash of real maple syrup instead.
