About this Cook
Grew up in an Italian family, eating wonderful Italian food, pasta, meats and always followed by a salad. As a teenager and young adult didn't appreciate the art of cooking but have learned to love it. I started cooking when I met my husband (a tin cook) meaning everything he cooks comes out of a tin. I knew food tasted better than that and have enjoyed cooking and swapping recipes ever since. I can spend hours on this website reviewing recipes and the comments made about them. MANGE!
My favorite things to cook
Home made tomato sauce (just like my mom made), pastina, pasta with home made meatballs or hot Italian sausage. Well, anything Italian really!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Home made tomato sauce, pastina (my favourite soup as a child) and zeepola at Christmas time!
My cooking triumphs
Beef Wellington in pastry with pastry braid decoration on top. It looked and tasted amazing!
My cooking tragedies
Can not, and I do mean CAN NOT make a decent gravy!!!

Easy Bacon and Cheese Quiche
Just tried this tonight for dinner with a mixed green salad. The quiche was fabulous! I used cheddar and parm (as that is what I had on hand), added green onion to white onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Definitely make this again!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken
I made the recipe as written (although did turn the chicken over half way through). It was great, not soggy at all. I did have a lot of breadcrumb mixture left over (I only did 4 pieces of chicken). I would definitely cook this recipe again.
