Easy Lovely Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2010
Who would have believed that such simple ingredients could result in such a perfect dish??? If you love curry as much as I do, this is an easy and simple way of getting your "fix". I was skeptical, but after reading the other reviews, I decided to give it a try. The only thing I questioned was the amount of lemons - I quit after three - do they mean four lemons cut in half, or four lemon HALVES? I got a lot of juice out of the lemons I bought, which is why I stopped after juicing three lemons. I would also suggest basting the chicken, as well. When the chicken was almost done, I turned the pieces over and found the underside looked quite anemic, so I basted it with the sticky goodness that had collected in the bottom of the pan. In fact, I would recommend frequent basting before and after turning the chicken. Maybe it was my oven, but I cooked the chicken for an hour and a half. In any case, brilliant recipe!!! This recipe will become a staple in my household! Thank you so much for sharing it!

I did not care for these because of the texture - not what I expected.

World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
Wow! These were excellent. These scones were all I had for supper tonight and will definitely be made again and again and again. Oh, yeah - I made them traditional style; i.e one large circle that I scored with a knife before baking. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
I made this recipe tonight and it was absolutely fabulous! I always brine my chickens and turkeys in salted water overnight, and the next night I let the chicken marinate in the rub. Hands down, this was the BEST roast chicken I have ever made. The meat literally fell off the bones!!! I have kidney disease and must watch my salt intake, so I relied on the brining process to provide the salt needed and used none in the rub. Absolutely delicious!!! Unbelievably good!!! Thank you for a wonderful recipe that I will make every chance I get from now on!!!

Chicken and Mushroom Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
Um ... this soup did not have the richness that is inherent to a true chowder. It was also kind of bland and visually unappealing. I found the flavors to be only so-so. Unfortunately, I won't be making this dish again.

Lemon Pepper Shrimp with Mustard

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I have made this recipe so many times that I actually got burned out on it. I have not eaten it in about two years but I am going to make it for dinner tonight. This really is a simple and fabulous dinner to make. I am with some reviewers, though, that half a cup of butter is bit much, so I use olive oil instead and only enough butter to give it the rich taste that this dish needs. To anyone who is considering making this recipe, I say bon appetit!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
I have made this soup, and it is WONDERFUL!!! I also add frozen peas and corn last and the colors are so beautiful. It reminds me of spring, even though it is a hearty dish that's probably best appreciated when the weather is colder.
