Premium Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
Quick and easy. We added plenty of garlic powder. Didn't realize this was to make two pizzas until it was too late. Puffed up nicely. Very good. I let the bread machine do all the work.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
Used brown mustard and what I could salvage of our yellow mustard to make 1/4 cup. Also added some garlic powder because I like garlic. The smell was different, but the taste was great. Kids and husband alike loved it. Thanks

Quick Hoppin' John Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
Good base recipe. We used 1 can of Pinto Beans and 1 can of Black eyed peas, because it was what we had. 2 bags of frozen rice from another entree and added Chicken Jalapeno Sausage from Trader Joe's. Delicious! Made enough for a 2nd day.

French Butter Cakes (Madeleines)

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Very Good. Used my kitchen aid mixture. Did not fold in flour and zest. Just threw it in and blended it a little. Update: 1/1/10 I would definitely recommend folding in the zest and flour. It will allow your batter to stay fluffy. My daughter and I visited the French Pastry School in Chicago and were taught how to make them. The key is to butter and flour every nook and cranny of the madeleine pan, so they come out perfectly shaped showing those deep ridges. If you get the belly bump, that's considered perfect. I never knew that, I thought they were incorrectly done if you had a bump. Well, those are tips straight from the horses mouth. Oh, I used a metal pan from Sur La Table. I'm one of those people who are wary of these non-stick/silicone/caphalon pans/cooking utensils. Its more work, but our grandparents did it, so can we!

Fluffy Pancakes

Delicious! Doubled the ingredients, substituted apple cider vinegar for the white vinegar, added fresh blueberries, added vanilla extract and just a tad bit more milk. No one could get enough. No syrup needed. Very fluffy, 1/2 inch thick.
