French Crepes

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2014
This is a very good crepe recipe...as good as I have ever had. I only had skim milk on hand and so I was hesitant on attempting the recipe...I'm very pleased I did though. My crepes were gorgeous! Our big Sunday morning breakfast will have this added to the menu. Thanks for sharing it.

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2013
My husband grew up eating lamb often because his family owned their own butcher shop and said this was the best lamb dinner he ever ate. The marinade is a winner! I used a 3 lb boneless leg of lamb. Made the marinade as written except I used no lemon & added 1 tablspn of olive oil. Boneless allowed me to open the leg up and get the marinade inside of the lamb and then I rolled and tied it back up. I only marinated for 5 hours in a zip lock bag and I can't imagine it being any better. I cooked at 450 for 20 min then reduced to 325 for 25 min then increased heat to 350 for 35 min. I used digital thermometer & cooked until temp was 140. Rested for 15 min. It was slightly pink and super juicy. I also added 2 cups of water to pan during cooking but next time I will add 3 1/2 cups. I don't even like lamb but I couldn't resist tasting it and I loved it. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I am no longer afraid to cook lamb :)

Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
Very tasty and I was never one to care for creamed can corn at all. My family loved it. I made it without the parmesan cheese and I had a 32oz bag of frozen corn so I used the whole bag. It was rich and creamy. Delish! It went great with my rib roast.

I mixed 1/2 of the bread cubes with the soup mixture and the remaining bread cubes mixed with the butter in a pan. It was really good.

Banana Banana Bread

Super moist and great flavor. I used 6 small really ripe bananas (puréed), added 1 1/2 teaspn of vanilla, pumpkin spice, 3 TBLSPN sour cream & mini chocolate chips. Too keep the outside from getting too brown, I baked at 350 degrees for 40 min and then I opened the oven door and baked for the remaining 20 min so the inside cooked through. Delicious!

I loved this pie and so did my family. If your looking for an easy delicious coconut pie recipe, try this one. I did cut the sugar down to 3/4 cup and used 1/2 tspn of vanilla. I also slightly prebaked my pie shell at 350 for 10 minutes. Baked the pie for 1 hour and the last 5 minutes, it put a little coconut on top for toasting. Turned out excellent.

Thank you for sharing these recipes. Noodles are just like my grandmothers which were fantastic! I cooked the noodles in 1 1/2 cups beef broth plus the 1 cup of water plus 1/4 cup of the yummy drippings that I thickened with flour and butter. I drained half the liquid and served noodles with the delicious savory liquid. I added pepper & salt to taste.

Coconut Custard Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
Gorgeous pie...warm or cold, it's the new family favorite. I decreased the sugar to slightly under a cup, (90% of a cup of sugar). I also added a little more coconut (1/4th of a cup) and it turned out perfect. I've tried several coconut pie recipes and this is the best one yet.
