About this Cook
I enjoy the art of cooking because it's another thing to experiment with. I like to take some of the recipes on allrecipes.com and make them my own by adding or taking away ingredients. My boyfriend and I like to create new taste sensations - we specialize in making things from tortillas. He is the inventor of the "Longhorn Johnson" and I am the creator of the "Barbaloo". My mom is definitely a cooking inspiration. Her style of cooking always seemed effortless and everything she makes is tasty!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that doesn't have celery, fennel or any other family member. I'd rather eat puke. When I make a food, I try to make it as healthy as possible by using substitutions, without sacrificing flavor. One of my favorite dishes is Indian Chicken Curry - the intoxicating scents, colors + flavors of this dish make you forget it's good for you. :)

Yummy and easy all the way! Served with some Panetini breads.

French Beef Stew
I used this recipe as a base and added 1 med. red onion, yellow bell pepper, + bay leaf. About a 1/2 hour before done I put in a 1/4 cup white wine. This is also done well in a slow cooker, altho I had too much liquid so I had to add some tapioca to the mix. Yummy!

Moroccan Potato Casserole
I made this twice for Holiday meals and it was always a winner! You will have to cook the potatoes longer than it describes here - like about an hour. Also I did diced canned tomatoes instead of fresh and loooved the sauce!
