Glazed Lemon Supreme Pound Cake

This cake is good but not outstanding. The lemon flavor is very strong, and it bakes much more quickly than indicated. Also, it looks nothing like the picture, which has a bright yellow glaze, and the instructions to pour the glaze over the cake while it's in the pan then invert it makes no sense.

Slow Cooker Mexican-Style Chicken

My son described this as one of the best things I've ever made. I prepared it as written except added a small can of chopped green chiles for the last hour. Next time I'll use hot salsa rather than mild. Still, it was excellent. We used it to fill tacos and topped them with a black bean and corn relish. Definitely a menu to be repeated.

Black Bean and Corn Salad II

I omitted the tomatoes because I don't care for them but otherwise prepared it as written and it was outstanding. I was feeding 10 college students and they were dipping into it with tortilla chips before dinner even began. Most used it as a relish to top chicken tacos, which I highly recommend.
