Garlic Bubble Ring

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
I made a few changes based on remarks from other reviewers. I cut way back on the butter and added a lot more garlic & parmesan, and it turned out fantastic. Thanks for a great recipe.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
My 9 year old loves egg drop soup, so I gave it a try. It was very good, the only thing I did differently was to skip the salt, & add a chicken bullion cube. My daughter gobbled it up and asked for more.

Darbey Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I made a few changes based on other reviews. I used 1 loaf of frozen bread dough, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 2 tbsp olive oil, 3/4 cup shredded mild cheddar & a good sprinkling of salt. I baked it in a regular size bread pan and it turned out great!

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This recipe is definately a keeper, I love that it's baked & not fried. Took others advice and baked it a little longer to crisp it up, and it turned out great. No leftovers!

Southern Style Holiday Greens

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
It really annoys me when reviewers change the recipe and then give it a bad review! I've never been a big greens fan, but I made this for a big family gathering, and everyone loved it. I followed the recipe exactly and it was great. I've added my own touches here and there, as does every other cook I know. You have to add your own personal touch. Thanks for a great recipe.

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
I took some tips from other reviewers & cut down on the butter a little bit. I also dredged the scallops in the butter & tossed them in the bread crumbs. At the very end, I broiled for just a minute or so to crisp them up and they turned out fantastic! I served with salad and grilled asparagus and my husband went through the roof! Thanks for a great recipe!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
Although this recipe is probably sensational as is, I saw that a few raters found it a little bland, so in addition to the onion powder, I sprinkled it with my home made greek seasoning and it was awesome. I also cut the marjorine in half. I used a 5 lb chicken, so I threw in an extra celery stalk and cooked for 2 hours & 15 minutes. Thanks for a very easy and delicious recipe.

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
I made a few changes based on other reviews that I read, and these ribs turned out delicious. I left out the rum because I'm not a rum fan. I boiled the ribs for 1 hour, baked them covered at 350 for 30 minutes, then baked uncovered for 30 minutes, and they were practically falling off the bone.

White Bread For The Bread Machine

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
The first time I made this I followed the recipe exactly. It was very good bread, but I made a few changes and it came out perfect. I thought it was a little too sweet, so I cut the sugar down to 2 Tbsp. I also substituted 2 Tbsp butter for the 3 Tbsp of oil. I like my bread to be just a little more dense, so rather than 2 1/4 tsp of yeast, I used 1 pkg of rapid rise yeast. It turned out beautifully and tasted wonderful!

Orzo with Mushrooms and Walnuts

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
This is a real crowd pleaser, I took the advice of some other reviewers and added frozen chopped spinach and fresh garlic. I took it to a family dinner, and there were no left overs and everyone asked for the recipe. I also made it with chopped artichokes and that was also delicious. There are so many things you can do with this recipe. I will definately make this again!

Maryland Crab Cakes III

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
This is a great recipe! Like others, I added a few of my own ideas. I added a little cajun seasoning & cayenne, and I increased the amount of mustard. I sauteed in a very small amount of olive oil, then I put them on a broiled portabello mushroom, sprinkled with a little parmesan, and my husband went through the roof.

Fresh Strawberry Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
I've made this recipe several times and it always turns out perfect, not sure what some of the other raters did wrong, but the recipe is perfect. I use a deep dish crust and put in extra strawberries to fill it to the top. It's become a true family favorite!
