Honeysuckle Pineapple

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2003
My family loved this pineapple. I used canned pineapple slices and substituted 1 teaspoon of Mexican vanilla for the brandy. It was great with grilled chicken and grilled corn on the cob. My son and I forked for the last slice. Will definitely grill again.

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2005
This is great recipe that I have used for years with a few exceptions. I use 3 cans of drained green beans, 1/4 cup milk, fat free soup and don't add salt. The soup has enough salt. Just mix it all together and heat in the oven without preheating. Spray pan with cooking spray for easy clean up. Easy and Good!

Microwave Peanut Patties

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
Excellent. Made these at least a dozen times and always turn out great, even using salted peanuts. If you skip "beating until creamy" the candy will be grainy. I find it easier to pour hot candy mixture into cooking sprayed cookie sheet and break apart when cool. My step-father requests these all the time.

Pecan Pie IV

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
Didn't have any dark syrup, so I decided to try this recipe. Easy to make and tasted great. Used frozen pie crust and had filling left over. Will make again when I don't have dark syrup. Thanks.

Fudge-Nut Oatmeal Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
These bars are rich and delicious. I used unsalted butter and 1/2 semi-sweet and 1/2 milk chocolate chips. Baked in a 9x13 pan. Took these to a family reunion. The only thing I brought home was a pan of crumbs.

Sweet Baked Apples

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
Quick, easy and tasty. I used about a teaspoon of cinnamon. Used 2 Granny Smith and 1 red delicious, because thats all I had. Baking the apples is a nice twist to plain caramel apples.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2003
I do have faith as in a grain of mustard seed and this chicken was good. It was moist and tender. Just wasn't spicy enough for my families taste. I even used Bold & Spicy A-1 steak sauce and marinated in sauce for several hours. Will try again. Thanks.

Autumn Apple Salad II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2004
Although the salad had a good flavor and its very healthy, I wasn't crazy about it. I did not peel the apples and used Yoplait custard style yogurt. I will try again with cherry yogurt as others have suggested.

Glazed Fruit Bowl

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Great summer salad. Guests had seconds and took some leftovers home. Cut recipe in half and still had a large bowl of fruit. Didn't have blueberries or honeydew, but I don't think it matters. Any fruit would be great. Used sugar free vanilla pudding and no one noticed. Still sweet and refreshing. Will be making again. Thanks

Fabulous Fruit Salad II

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
Made this for my Mom's Birthday breakfast. I used Dannon light vanilla yogurt. I had the walnuts, but forgot to add them and it was still yummy. Refrigerated leftovers the next day were not as good even with the addition of a shot of lemon juice.

Twisted Chicken Salad with Tostadas

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
Quick and easy with great taste. Next time will probably use less mayo. Used prepared crunchy corn tostadas hot from oven. The tostadas really give the taste a kick. Will definitely be making again & again.

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2005
GREAT! I used salted butter instead of margarine and lowered the oven to 325, as we like our cookies soft. I made Halloween cutout cookies and turned out perfect. Dough is easy to work with and tasted great with icing or without. They were even spicier the next day. Gave away to neighbors and family and they raved also. The only problem is the recipe didn't make enough cookies. Will definitely make again and double the recipe. THANKS!

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
These are addictive! I have used several different spices including Cajun seasonings, garlic, onion salt and even a dash of cayenne. I have tried them cutting oil in half and used cooking spray instead to make even lower in fat. Try them seasoned to your taste. GREAT for snacking.

Restaurant-Style Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
Yummy! This is creamy and delicious. Used Splenda instead of sugar and didn't have carrots. Instead of pimentos, added 2 tablespoons of pimento cheese spread. Tasted great after 24 hours in the fridge. Thanks.

No Bake Sugar Free Cheese Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
This is not a cheese cake. It doesn't have the creamy consistency or smooth, richness of cheesecake. I didn't care for the taste either. Will not make again.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
Made this for my Mom's Birthday breakfast and it was big hit. Was short a full pound of bacon, so added some cooked hot breakfast sausage also. As others suggested, increased eggs to 8. Mixed everything together and refrigerated in a covered bowl the night before. Baked in the morning and it was easy and delicious. Leftovers heated and tasted great. My family has requested this again soon.

Brunch Pizza Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
Wonderful Recipe. I used canned Pillsbury garlic breadsticks, as I didn't have crescent rolls. The garlic taste was an extra added bonus. Before adding the sausage, I baked the crust alone for about 4 minutes. I added 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne to the egg mixture. YUMMY !

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
A friend requested this cake for his birthday and he raved about it. I made it for my family and they enjoyed it. Stored the remainder of the cake overnight in the fridge and was not as good. Much better when warm.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
I have been making fudge for over 30 years and this recipe is the best. I didn't add nuts, because my husband doesn't like them, but I bet it would make it even better! Thanks.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2005
I took this to Christmas with the family. My sister and brother-in-law loved it. Sent the large quantity of left-overs home with them. I love strawberries and salad, but didn't make a good combination for my taste.
