Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2003
My son enjoyed these so much, I had to make them several mornings in a row. I mixed all dry ingredients together with a wisk. There is a sweet cinnamon taste throughout. Leftover hotdog buns tasted great!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2003
I do have faith as in a grain of mustard seed and this chicken was good. It was moist and tender. Just wasn't spicy enough for my families taste. I even used Bold & Spicy A-1 steak sauce and marinated in sauce for several hours. Will try again. Thanks.

Really quick & easy. I used heavy duty foil and added a few extra spices. My family loved it. Thanks!

Honeysuckle Pineapple

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2003
My family loved this pineapple. I used canned pineapple slices and substituted 1 teaspoon of Mexican vanilla for the brandy. It was great with grilled chicken and grilled corn on the cob. My son and I forked for the last slice. Will definitely grill again.

Fast, easy, and has a sweet maple flavor. I didn't use any nuts. Will definitely make again.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2003
Needed something quick & easy for a bake sale. Followed the recipe exactly, except used 8 3x6 pans. I made these the night before and put in the fridge. All 7 loaves were sold within 30 minutes. The other loaf my family ate while it was warm, great...great...great! Will definitely make again, and again!

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2003
Not spicey enough for my families taste. I also should have opted out of the salt. The 1/2 cup of water was too much for the filling as it was hard to roll into the tortillas. Will probably make again and substitute Cayenne for the black pepper.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2003
Really quick and easy rice. Too salty, will decrease garlic salt next time, otherwise tasted great.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2003
Really great beer bread. I used Budweiser. My husband didn't like the taste, but wants to try again with a different brand of beer. Best eaten while it is warm.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2003
Great muffins, but not "to die for". The muffins without the topping are not sweet enough. Used a 12 muffin pan. I made 9 muffins, there was no way to get the batter into 8. They tasted better the next day.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2003
Won not only best in taste and appearance, but also best all around apple pie. I made pie exactly from original recipe. Could only manage to get in 6 large apples. Didn't add spices, but plan to try next time.

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
These are addictive! I have used several different spices including Cajun seasonings, garlic, onion salt and even a dash of cayenne. I have tried them cutting oil in half and used cooking spray instead to make even lower in fat. Try them seasoned to your taste. GREAT for snacking.

Creamed Spinach II

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
Great quick side dish. I have made many times. I have used only one box of spinach, non-fat mushroom soup and cut the butter down to 1 teaspoon and it always turns out great. Have tried adding onions also.

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2003
I have made Sweet Potato pie at the holidays for years because it was my dads favorite. We lost my father last year, but I had to make a pie. This was "THE BEST" and the easiest recipe I have ever used. My father would have loved it. Don't wait to make this pie for your family. Thanks Joyce and God Bless.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2003
Excellent! Gave a taco Birthday party for my sons. Everyone loved it. Cooked almost 5 pounds of ground beef, tripled the seasoning recipe, used cayenne pepper instead of flakes and added about a cup of water after adding seasonings. Cooked, covered until water was absorbed.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2004
Made the first time Christmas. Excellent! Changed the ingredients a bit, 1/2 cup butter, fat free cream cheese, sugar free jello and 1 3/4 cup water. Placed jello, strawberry mixture in fridge to firm up a bit before layering on top. Will definitely make again.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2004
Great waffles, but made a few changes. As suggested previously, doubled the sugar and used 1/2 cup butter instead of oil. Didn't have milk, substituted canned evaporated milk mixed with water. Beat egg whites until stiff and folded in last. Fit perfectly into my waffle maker x 3. Will definitely make again.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2004
Dough is very easy to work with, roll and cut out. I added 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract, because we like the flavor. Would not have been sweet enough without icing or sugar sprinkles. Kept very well stored in covered container. Tasted even better the next day. Will definitely make again.
