About this Cook
I enjoy cooking and try my best to make healthy low fat meals. I am a nurse and try to keep my weight in check.
My favorite things to cook
Love to make soups and anything with lots of veggies in it. I often add more veggies than the recipe says. I think you also need a treat and so I try to do baking as well. Love the health nut muffins
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't have a lot of traditional dishes I make I am always trying something new. Guess thats my tradition.
My cooking triumphs
I make pastry really well so my pie is very good.
My cooking tragedies
I cant really think of any tragedies. I have made lots of things I would not make again but that isnt exactly a tragedy.

Buttertart Squares
Delicious. I followed the recipe exactly except I used margerine instead of butter due to milk intolerance. They turned out better than I thought they would, very addictive.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti
I made these exactly as written. There was a lot of tomato sauce, more than I needed. I thought the strong taste of the sauce over whelmed the delicate cheese. It took a long time for the shells to be soft and I think that over cooked the cheese. That said we all ate it.

Quick and Easy Yorkshire Pudding
This was really good. Not too eggy and the tip about cooking it at 450 for 10 min first was good. They puffed up perfectly. Absolutely the best
