I made this and it turned out amazingly-- definitely something I'll be making again! I did follow the suggestions of other reviewers to replace the shortening with butter and add a splash of vanilla.... I also replaced 1/2 cup of white flour with whole wheat flour. Delicious recipe!

Potato Soup IX

I really enjoyed this soup! I used dried unions, and fat-free milk, and topped it with an aged cheddar and a chopped tomato-- delicious! I'll certainly be making it again!

Lemon Custard Pudding Cake

I recently made this delightful cake for a girl's night. I followed other reviewers' suggestions and decreased the sugar by 1/2 cup, and also increased the lemon zest to the zest of one lemon. Served chilled, this is the perfect summer dessert: cool, sweet and tangy. I'll definitely be making this one again!
