Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
I left out the beer because I didn't have any on hand. I also used Chuck Roast instead and added garlic powder and pepper to taste (about 1 tsp each) then I also sprinkled some Worcestershire sauce on the roast on both sides while in the slow cooker. One of the reviews suggested toasting the rolls with some mozzarella cheese - delicious idea! It turned out great! Definitely one to add to the recipe box for an easy dinner!

Viva Madrid Spanish Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
Really great base recipe - I didn't have dates and I omitted the garlic cloves because I decided to serve this chicken with garlic bread. I was worried that my chicken breast would turn out too dry but it was very moist and tender! Great recipe to add on to and experiment with!

Salmon Patties I

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
Quick, easy recipe! The patties were pretty delicate to handle but ended up holding their shape in the pan. I had to add a little more liquid while making the patties and did a final dredge in the bread crumbs before frying. Served on a bed of spinach with a corn/bacon combo!

Spanish Rice Bake

Not entirely convinced this is a 'Spanish" recipe but it's delicious! Great recipe to work off from and add things too and SO easy. Definitely one to make when I don't feel like cooking

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
I used this recipe to decorate gingerbread cookies and it turned out well although I modified it for a few reasons: I didn't have access to a hand mixer and I didn't want to have excess frosting. I whisked together 1 cup powdered sugar with about 1/3 tsp of vanilla extract and about 1 tbs of milk. It's a great consistency that won't stick to other cookies once it's set but the weight might flatten your design so keep that in mind. Great basic recipe! I would recommend using this icing with the Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookie recipe by Nestle Toll House - it's a great combination!

Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
I omitted the cloves and did as other reviewers suggested by baking at 330 for 10 minutes. I rolled this out and used cookie cutters - it turned out great!

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
Love this recipe - so easy, all I do is add chocolate chips! Also, definitely don't use Yellow Cake mix or you'll get that "cakey" taste. For more of a sugar cookie effect, use only White Cake Mix
