Garlic Pita Bread Bites

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
Very good and easy! I served them with Broccoli Cheese Soup tonight. They were gone very quickly. I followed the recipe except that I had shaved parmesan on hand and used that and I was very generous with everything else. ;)

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2013
This is my go-to meatball recipe for spaghetti and meatballs. I've tried so many recipes, but now have been using this one for a couple of years now. I've made them with all beef, beef & venison mix, and a beef & pork mix. All excellent! The only thing I usually change up is that I use gluten free breadcrumbs. Also, I just use whatever milk we have on hand (usually cream or whole milk).

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
This was just okay. I love Salmon and had some nice Wild Sockeye Salmon. This dish though was a little bland to me. I think it would better with lemon and garlic in with the mustard mixture. I might try again with these changes.

Hot Spiced Cranberry Cider

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
Great recipe! The cranberry juice keeps the apple cider from being too sweet which I don't like. My husband calls this Wassail. I made enough for 100 people for a party. We ended up with about 80 people but there was none left at all. Everyone loved this!

Grandma Minnie's Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
The best sugar cookie recipe. I've been looking for a not-too-sweet, soft sugar cookie recipe for years now. This is it! Wonderful! I follow the recipe exactly. The recipe was crumbly so I just kneaded it until smooth. I cannot say enough good things about this recipe. I made the cookies 3 days ago for a party. I'm eating leftovers today and they are still soft. Biggest piece of advice is to really watch them in the oven. They cook up very fast and if they are overcooked they will become crispy not soft.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
These are easy and some of the best pancakes I've had. The only thing I change was I used 2 cups of whole wheat flour and 1 cup white. Very tasty!

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
Very yummy! I did make a few changes. I crumbled cooked bacon in the filling (instead of wrapping it around chicken), used fresh spinach, and added a little mozzarella. Then, browned the chicken breasts before putting in oven for 30 minutes. They were delicious!

Spinach Salad with Baked Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
This was so yummy! I added sliced tomatoes on top of the spinach. I used crumbled goat cheese and just tossed it around in the bread crumb mixture. Very good. It compliments the Steak Pinwheels recipe here very well.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
This is so yummy and so easy that you have to try it! I pretty much followed the recipe as is though I'm horrible about measuring things. I made this with fresh blueberries and strawberries! When it came out, I would've said it serves more like 6-8, but 4 of us adults finished it off. So good!

Berries 'N' Cream

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
So easy and yummy! I make a similar one from this site (Tina's Fruit Dip) that is similar and slightly better but you have to heat it and wait for it to cool. If you want something quick, easy, and yummy, this is the way to go.

Fried Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
These were very yummy and I'm not much a green bean fan. I didn't have any buttermilk and just used the 1% milk I had in the fridge. I bet they are even better with buttermilk. We will definitely have these again.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I loved this. I followed the recipe pretty much exactly except I squeezed a little lemon juice on right before serving. It was delicious. Even my 3 little boys loved it!

Microwave Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
Oh my goodness! I'm sitting here eating this right now. I was craving caramel popcorn and there is another recipe on here I love, but it takes so long. This is wonderful! The only complaint I have is you can't lick the side of a paper bag. ;)

Caramel Popcorn

Oh my goodness, this was yummy! I halved the recipe based on what I had on hand. I also added cocktail peanuts to make like Crunch N Munch and it was soooooooooooo good! I will be making this often.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
We LOVE this recipe! I make a few changes that we prefer, but I'm sure it is excellent as is as well. I use the southern style hashbrowns (cubes), cream of mushroom soup, and ritz crackers instead of cornflakes. I leave everything else exactly the same. This is so fattening, but so yummy!

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2009
This the recipe I've been looking for. My hubby has been going to Mexico on mission trips the last few years and comes back each time talking about the Carne Asada. I've tried several recipes and he LOVES this and says it is so close to what's he had in Mexico. I've not made the salsa yet, but want to try it.

Excellent! I did just use Italian bread crumbs instead of seasoning plan bread crumbs. I also pound out my chicken. Very yummy recipe.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2009
I've been looking for a good sugar cookie recipe for awhile and this is the best I've found. It's not too sweet so with frosting is perfect. We made the Sugar Cookie Frosting recipe from here with it and it was an excellent combo.
