Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
We made this, following the recipe exactly, and were disappointed. The kids think it tastes like Malt-O-Meal. Not very chocolatey.

Michelle's Coconut Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2004
I used frozen cauliflower, since it was all I had, and also Hot Madras Curry Powder. It was wonderful, with just a bit of zip. Best of all...noone complained about eating cauliflower. I served it over plain white rice, but it would be wonderful with something like basmati, if you have it in the cupboard.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Easy, filling, and delicious. Flavor changes depending on beer used...can be sweeter or stronger. Haven't tried one yet that wasn't good! Favorite was probably a Holiday Ale I had left over...dark, and gave a great flavor.

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Delicious! It makes a ton, so serve a crowd, or plan to eat it for several days. Kids weren't crazy about it, but husband & I were.

World's Best Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
I love potato chowder, and was ready for a new recipe. I used a lot less bacon (half) and threw some frozen corn in near the end. It was delicious.

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
I mixed all ingredients together with the rice, adding 1 tsp of cayenne and a TBS of dry mustard, lay the chicken on top and topped with grated cheese. I cooked it uncovered for about 35 minutes. I had no problems at all with the rice; it was perfect. I wasn't expecting much from my family...but they RAVED!! Even my oh so finicky 5 year old. She ate 2 helpings!!! And remarked that she hoped there were leftovers for the next dinner...that was a first. Thank you for an easy crowd pleaser.

Homemade Shake and Bake Mixture

Excellent flavor. My whole family liked this, and that is saying something. We eat a lot of chicken, and it is hard to impress these days! Thanks!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2004
My whole family loved these! The pork is so tender and juicy, and the flavor was wonderful. I don't have an oven proof skillet, so after browning the chops, I slid everything into a glass baking dish. Worked great!

Ranch Crispy Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2003
My whole family loved this. I increased the bread crumbs by 2 1/2, left the ranch amount the same, and everyone ate their dinner with NO COMPLAINING!!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2003
Very nice for a night where you are pressed for time, but we found it lacking in "oomph"...just sort of bland.

Heavenly Chipped Chocolate and Hazelnut Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2003
My first cheesecake, I made this for a party. It packs a lot of "presentation" punch, for very little work. I added an extra Tbs of hazelnut liquer to the topping, and had to use almonds for the crust, but it was a big success!

These are absolutely delicious! Spicy with ginger, but not too molasses-y! Our new Christmas recipe!

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2003
Delicious was to use squash that my whole family loved! (Even the 4 year old!) I don't have a food processor, and my blender died on this meal, so I used a hand mixer and it did a great job puree-ing the squash. Will definitely pull this out again as the weather turns cold!!

Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2003
This was delicious...tasted like an expensive restaurant meal. I couldn't chop my dried tomatoes (too hard) so used them whole, but they were delicious.

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2003
Sorry...my family just didn't like this. They thought it too slimy. The flavor was good, much like the sauce I use on my pineapple chicken, but the combination was not a hit.

Lemon Pepper Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2003
My husband and I liked it quite a bit. The kids weren't as impressed. I think next time I would add a little garlic powder or garlic salt.

Ali's Amazing Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2003
This is delicious, and very pretty for serving! I left out the onion, and added a couple of cloves of minced garlic. My only complaint is that they can be difficult to eat without having tomato fall in your lap.
