Slow Cooker Machaca

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
You have to try this! I suggest adding the onions, garlic and cumin like the other reviews say. We didn't get to add cilantro but will for sure next time. I can't wait to make this for my hispanic inlaws! Talk about brownie points. HeHe

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

These had a great taste, however something I did made them stick to the pan. Not sure if I will try again.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
Amazing! I added tomatoes and they were perfect. I recommend squishing the bread down before putting anything into it in order to flatten the top a bit, followed by cooking the bottom first. They were a bit messy to eat but well worth it.

Jalapeno Bread II

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
Not sure what happened but the bread fell and was very dense. We still loved it. I can't wait to try it again with some cream cheese on top or for grilled cheeses.

Jalapenos del Raton

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
WOW! I took these to a family BBQ and every adult chowed down on them. They were perfect while we were relaxing and playing cards. We couldn't get enough. They were a bit time consuming but well worth it. I can't wait to make them again.

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
Wonderful! Perfect to grab on a busy morning when I can't make a lunch. They are huge and I was able to make 20. Yummy! We like to put lots of homemade salsa and either green chilies or jalapenos.

Banana Cake Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
A small banana is key! The inside of mine turned out gooey; not that the kids cared. I was hoping for more flavor as well on the inside. The amount of chocolate was perfect and I recommend using the footnote regarding the plastic fork.

Old Settlers' Baked Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
Amazing! My hubby doesn't like kidney beans so when I doubled this recipe for a BBQ I only added half the kidney beans needed. Everyone loved it! The hardest part (which was still easy) was cooking the bacon, onions, and beef, which I did separately (not on purpose) and it still turned out wonderful.

Sauza®-Rita

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
My hubby and I are BIG drinkers! This made only 4 (normal) glasses for us. They were AWESOME though. Strong enough to taste the tequila, yet easy enough to go down smoothly. I much rather make these then the blended type. I made some for my in-laws (they don't drink much) and I added only 9oz of Patron. They loved them and couldn't taste a thing.

Frijoles a la Charra

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
These took a little longer than expected. Next time I will leave myself 6 hrs or more in order to ensure they are done in time. BUT they turned out great! I only had pre-minced garlic so I used 2.5 tsp instead of chopping the garlic cloves. I will make these again to show off my skills to the family : )

I split the ingredients in half and threw it in the bread maker. The kids chowed it down in no time.

Firecracker Fried Chicken Drumsticks

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
The kids enjoyed these after marinating for only 1-2 hours. If you like it spicy I would suggest longer marinating and adding paprika and cayenne pepper to the batter.

My carnitas turned out awesome. I already have family from all over requesting me to make them some when I go to visit. I highly suggest making your own tortillas to go with it.
