Breaded Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This is delicious!! I used Italian seasoned bread crumbs for added flavor. I would have like the breading to be a bit more crispy but didn't want to overcook the hamburger. Next time, I will use less oil and fry a bit longer. Doesn't need worcesterhire sauce. Omitted it.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
Five stars because it is so simple to make! I made a few modifications. I cut the sugar to 1/3 cup, 1/2 is too sweet if you plan to use miracle whip. I cut the salt to 1/8 tsp due to my sodium intake restrictions. I did not add the poppy seed because I didn't have any. Next time, I will try using mayo instead of miracle whip. I also thought about adding crushed pineapple! Yum!

Sfingi

Good luck on getting these cooked all the way. Burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. In the trash. Perhaps I will try again without the ricotta.

Chocolate Pudding Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
simple. #4 on these directions say to refrigerate until not too gooey. the pudding should be made by reducing milk to 2 1/2 cups, and not as directed on the package.

Biscotti

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2013
Very good. I used, as recommended by another reviewer, 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 almond extract because I couldn't find the anise. You can't go wrong with using a full tablespoon of almond extract to add flavor. This is a very good plain biscotti base. Get creative! It could use some slivered almonds. I dipped mine in chocolate. Thanks!

Italian Sausage Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
Opt for fresh veggies rather than frozen if you have time. It's missing something. I am not a big fan of tomatoes, so in the future, I will use only one can and add an extra can of kidney beans.

Albondigas

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2013
This was a really good soup. I don't think a quart of water is enough. I added more water. The salsa made it too spicy for my liking so I will use only a cup next time. Add cilantro in the broth at the end rather than garnish it. I also added some left over shrimp in the broth and it was great. I think this would taste great over rice.

Taco Salad I

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
Agree with the reviewer below. Too sweet. Didn't like the french dressing. I also don't like warm meat on my salad. It wilted my salad. Not going to make this again. If I do, I will completely omit the french dressing. Not necessary.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
I am eating this as we speak. I couldn't wait for the cake to cool and it tastes like a chocolate molten cake. So good, but a little rich. I think once the morsels harden, it won't be as rich. This is delicious! I will try applesauce next time because a cup of oil is a lot of fat!

Cabbage Beef Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
A bit on the salty side. Omit the salt if sodium is a concern. Add the cabbage near the end if you like your veggies crisp like I do. I am not a big fan of cumin so I only used 1/8 tsp. Yes, it is very chilli-like and not really a soup. Try over rice and melting some cheese on it.

Campbell's® Slow Cooker Savory Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
this was pretty good. let it cook for 7 hrs on low and next time will try for 6.5 hours on low because meat gets tough and a little overcooked. 8-9 hrs is too long. no need to add water, you will have plenty of juices as it cooks.

Cornbread Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
this was very good but the only reason i gave it four stars is because i am not certain what the consistency is supposed to be. it certainly isn't cake like. it is a bit wet as reviewer lissa mentioned. i figured it was cornbread "pudding" so it should be pudding like. can someone please let me know because i don't want to be eating anything undercooked. thanks.

Lentil and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
this recipe makes a lot of soup, so be sure to have a big pot (i had to run out and buy one) few things i would do differently is add more sausage, omit the garlic powder and use fresh garlic instead. oregano and thyme are strong spices and will omit those two. prefer chopped carrots. you can pretty much add any vegetable you want. note: it does not take 3 hours to cook! at most, 1 hour.
