Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
It was ok. They are not soft. They smelled really good while baking and after removing from the oven but hard cookies. Not a fan of crunchy cookies. Will not make again. Only part of it I really liked is they turned out well in form but to eat, nah.

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
Made tonight for dinner and it was good! Added green and red bell pepper to the skewers and made it even better. It was a good mix of flavors for the marinade however next time I will let it sit longer in the fridge than an hour maybe the flavor will be more intense next time. Also I will add onion and mushrooms to the skewers. It's a good change for the BBQ from all the steaks and chicken we do in the summer.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
This was delicious!!! I did make some adjustments to mind though as I always do to most recipes. I replaced 2 cups of water with 2 cans chicken broth then added water. One chicken bouillon cube was just enough. I added shredded carrots that I had on hand. I added a can of sweet corn. I just bought deli ham & chopped that up. I served with some Jiffy cornbread rolls and It was a meal! Perfect for a cold winter's night. Placed this in my recipe box....It's a keeper!

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
This soup is absolutely delicious! I made this tonight for dinner and my hubby loved it as well as my 6 yr old and 3 yr old. Very healthy too is a plus! I made a few additions to mine. I 3 small cubed up white potatoes. 2 cans of the stewed tomatoes. I added 1/2 cup small alphabet pasta (kids really got a kick out of that) some water too since I added more ingredients. a dash of oregano & a dash of dried parsley. I just used the ready made shredded carrots too for a short cut.. This will be a staple in our house for sure. Must for winter weather :)

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
I made this last night for dinner and it was a hit for my husband and I. However I did not add chili beans since I didn't have any on hand. Instead of the beer I added one can of chicken broth and some water. I added one can of "Rotel" diced tomatoes with green chili's and one regular can of diced tomatoes. Everything else remained the same. Delicious! I love Slow Cooker meals this easy!

Pasta Fazul

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
This was delicious! Perfect for a winter's night meal. My husband loved this very much. The only thing I did to change it up is as I cooked it, I added water to it so it's not so thick and had more of a broth to it. Of course I seasoned to my liking. I could not find cannellini beans so I substituted white beans from a can and worked well. I also added a can of white potatoes. Made it very hearty and satisfying. Baked up some garlic bread to go along with it and was a perfect meal!
