About this Cook
I am a nursing student in addition to my job, so I am busy, but trying to cook for my fiance, who is a brand new doctor and doesn't always have the time to make good food choices.
My favorite things to cook
So far, I find I am best at baking (maybe because the qualifications are just being able to follow directions). I like making casseroles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with my mom on holidays. Every Sunday before church, my southern mother cooked sausage gravy and biscuits or quiche (she lived in Europe for awhile). I'll never forget that.
My cooking triumphs
I made scallops wrapped in bacon at about 19, when I was home from college during a holiday. Easy enough, but it takes a delicate hand to make sure the scallops aren't rubbery.
My cooking tragedies
I can make things with more steps with ease, and then when its something easy, I burn it or it doesn't taste quite right.

Basil Chicken and Pasta
I disagree with the reviewer below me. Definitely is not bland! You have to use dried basil or it's not quite the same. It was delicious, I love that it wasn't too "saucy" it just nicely coated the chicken and pasta. I did a 4 serving recipe, which all recipes is nice enough to configure for you. I will definitley make this again...I served with tuscan garlic bread and had an awesome meal in 15 minutes.
