Limehouse Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
Love this recipe. It's a great way to zip us some chicken thighs. My only change was to use chopped cilantro in place of the mint. AWESOME!

Chakchouka (Shakshouka)

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2012
I have made this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It works for any time of the day. The flavors in this meld so well together. The only change I make is omitting the hot pepper, I just use a little cayenne pepper for some spice.

Spicy Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
Eye balled most of the ingredients and marinated overnight but other than that, I kept the recipe as is and the end result was the best chicken breast I ever had in my life. Moist, juicy and flavorful. If your looking for an easy recipe with tons of flavor...this is it. Make this today!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2012
Love this recipe. I've made this recipe a few times and have made a few minor adjustments. Sauce freezes well so I double the recipe. I use 3 cans of of crushed tomatoes and 1 of dice tomatoes. Lots of fresh basil is a must! For the meatballs I keep everything the same accept I use have ground beef and have italian sausage.

It was ok but not something I would make again. Very Bland. Even with adding extra garlic and seasoning.

Greek Lentil Soup (Fakes)

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
My Greek friend brought this soup into work and I needed the recipe. Her recipes is very similar but she uses a small can of tomato sauce instead of the paste, she also adds celery and omits the rosemary, but what takes it to the another level is to add a splash of red wine vinegar before serving. A must try.

Black Bean and Corn Salad II

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
I have made this many times. I serve it like a chunky salsa, with a little less olive oil, red onion instead of green, two avacadoes, and with tosito scoops. Makes alot and I never have any left overs when I bring to a gathering.

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
Not the most beautiful cake, but was delicious. After reading reviews, I used about 3 cups of fresh strawberries, crushed them and sprinkled a little sugar on them to get thier juices going. I sprinkled a 3 oz box of strawberry jello over them and strirred it all together. I made sure I sprayed pam in my pan and everything else I did the same. After letting the cake cool down for an hour I turned it over and had no issuses. Served with whip cream. A keeper in my house.

Glazed Corned Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2006
I bought a huge cut of corned beef last month and only made half because i was not sure if my family would like it due to the fact that we never had it before. I made it the way a friend told me to with cabbage and potatoes, my family hated it. So, I saw this recipe yesterday and tried it with the other half and oh my god, so delicious. My family gobbled it up. They told me never use the other recipe again. The sauce on this is exceptional and simple, planning to try it on chicken.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
No one in my family is a fan of meatloaf except for my twelve year old son. He complains that i never make it so i searched for a new recipe because my old one was not up to par. Everyone in my family agreed this is the best meatloaf they ever had and that they would't mind having it once a month. I stuck to the recipe pretty much just added some adobo and crushed garlic, and green and red peppers that i sauteed in a little olive oil to the meat. I also put the brown sugar and ketchup on top of the loaf because i don't use a loaf pan, just shaped the meat into a loaf.

Chocolate Coconut Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
This is a great weeknight dessert. It was so easy my daughter actually made it. We kind of skeptical of how they would out but they were great, expecially if you love coconut and chocolate. We double the recipe because we're a large family but accidenly added the whole bag of chocolate chips. They taste kind of like a really sweet version of a chewy granola bar.

Just made this for my family that could chinese food everyday of the week if I let them. They LOVED it. They all said it was better than the we place order from. They called the recipe a "keeper." Only thing I did different was add some celery and slice mushrooms for a healthier meal. A must try.
