I am sorry, I don't understand why this is so popular. Personal preference, I guess.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
I followed the recipe almost exactly, just adding an extra hour of cooking time for a larger breast. It was perfect.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

These are so easy to make, I can't believe they are so good! They taste just like the ones in the restaurant. We can't stop eating them.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
I followed the recipe, but I fail to see what all the fuss is about. They are very labor-intensive, but you could just eat peanut butter cookies and peanut butter cups and get the same effect.

Double Chocolate Sprinkle Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2011
Very good. Next time I think I will only use half the chocolate chips. There is as much chocolate as there is cookie!

Puttanesca I

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
I followed previous recommendations and used a can of crushed tomatoes, and only half the olive oil. It was to die for! One of the best recipes I've ever run across.

The broth and vegetables were fine, but way, way too much sausage.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2010
Since I didn't want to open a whole can of tomato sauce for just 1/4 cup, I did as others suggested and used ketchup instead. It would have been fine if I had also remembered to leave out the salt when using ketchup! It was too salty, but that was my fault. Next time I plan on trying cocktail sauce instead of ketchup. The olive oil makes the spices stick to the shrimp. They look very appetizing.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
I don't like pot pie. I can't say I liked this one, but don't let that stop you. My husband, who does like pot pie, ate a whole one by himself in one day! I used three boneless, skinless, chicken breasts. I followed the recommendations of others and used the whole amount of gravy but just made one deep-dish pie. The only vegetables I included were celery and a diced potato. I added a 1/4 tsp. of poultry seasoning and a little garlic powder. I used the Pie Crust IV recipe from this site. I baked it at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, it was perfectly cooked. The crust was not soggy.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
I had high expectations for this recipe after reading all the great feedback, but we thought it was bland. It needs a lot more flavor and spice, in my opinion.

Amish White Bread

I didn't have bread flour so I added a spoonful of gluten to all-purpose flour. Very good, sweet, plain white bread. Even pickies like it.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
Personally, I found it to be too sweet and cake-like. I had to give it five stars anyway because my husband and my son (the pickies) liked it better than any cornbread I'd made before. My son even ate the leftovers for breakfast!
