Coconut Custard (Zucchini) Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
HMMMMMM this was good, I have an 8 year old who detests zucchini and loves sweets and didn't detect it but ate it all. I thought it was a little sweet and will next time only put in 2/3 s of a cup of sugar I also tipped all the coconut in the custard and just added a little extra for the top. I served this with cream, YUM.

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
YUM, loved it, only did 1 cup sugar, so it wasn't too sweet, loved it YUM will use it again, the kids loved and with a bit of Bacardi for the adults it tasted great too. I did the ziplock bags and although it didn't freeze the whole way through it was pretty slushy when we got there. Also we used Lemon/Lime mineral water which worked just as well. Thank you will be doing this one again :)

Pork Medallions with Dijon Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
Simply the best we all loved it had friends over for dinner and they loved it too. Have used it again - tonight and didn't have shallots and I used white onion didn't work out as good. Also make sure you cook it in the pan you do the pork in as it helps with the flavour and thickens it up. Well done a keeper. Thank you

Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2005
Oh this is a yummy soup, nice and thick, I took one of the reviewers advice and roasted a whole garlic in there and drizzeled oil over it and it just squeezes out I added 4 cloves to it and it was unnoticable I'll add more next time as I love garlic. I once had a pumpkin soup that had cummin in it and I lost it so instead of nutmeg I put a little cummin in it and it hads a nice suttle flavour, I will definatly be making this one again. Thanks Craig, Leanne

Pink Stuff

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
This was yum, made it for Thanksgiving for my husband, who is American, we didn't have the frozen whipped topping so instead I used cream and it turned out nice and thick. Also we don't have cherry pie filling so I used a can of pitted cherries and a can of mixed berries and it turned out fantastic, I will make this again thank you

Charline's Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
We had Thanksgiving here in Australia because my Husband and son are American so I thought it would be nice to have it. I served this with dinner and no-one ate it, even though I only added 1 cup of sugar it was still too sweet to eat with the main meal, so I re served it at dessert time and half was eatten. I wasn't sure what to do with the sweet potatoes so I boiled and mashed them, you couldn't even taste them, I didn't put the topping on thinking there was enough sugar in it already. I probably won't cook this again and if I did I would 1/4 the sugar and serve it as dessert. (We don't eat sweet stuff with our main meals here I always thought it was strange when my husband got sweet stuff ie: jello with his dinner at buffets, and then I noticed when I went there to Alaska they had Jello in the Buffet so it answered a few questions.), By the way I loved it.

Authentic Louisiana Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2005
My hubby liked it but then he is American, I am Australian and found it a little different but I will give it a 5 anyway because he liked it. We don't have that sausage here and I used Charito. Hubby tried it and said put salt in and I did and it tasted better we also added some pepper. I cooked it with out the lid and it seemed to go faster. Also if you are like me and thought you would use a can of kidney beans and then at 2.30 in the afternoon realise hubby at them last night with the left over pasta sauce ??? I had a bag of dried one I brought for this one, i just put 2 cups of water per 1 cup of beans and boiled then simmered for 45 mins perfect. Thanks Will make it again.
