Baked Beer Can Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
Thanks for a really great recipe. I altered a little but stuck with it for the most part. I can only think some people may have used garlic salt making this saltier but I used Pampered chef's Jamaican jerk spice for the season salt and red onion for the green onions and it was fabulous. I used Michelob ultra for the beer, the tall can made me nervous but it all worked out tenderly :-).

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

very good, easy to make. I thought this was very good by itself or add a little pesto to change it up - delicious both ways.

Tonya's Terrific Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
Great spices! I too added a can of tomato sauce to make it 'sloppier' and increased the spices. I also added garlic powder and pepper then put it all into a crock pot on high for about three hours. The flavor was wonderful and the house smelled delicious. Everyone, even my pickiest child, ate and enjoyed this recipe. Thanks for a keeper!!

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
I love these beans! I keep beans on hand and I also have about three or four in the freezer ready to go when I think about it at the last minute. For the freezer packs I have all the spices, pack of beans and one of the nine cups of water; place this into slow cooker and add the additional water - voila!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

So very good! I forgot the beer so I'm not sure how that could make it better but wow - really good! I also had bone in breast but it fell off the bone when it came time to shred.

I have been using this all week. I have made it traditional and gluten-free. Really great and easy recipe. I have made chocolate croissants and palmiers - both have turned out really good.

Spicy Lamb Patties

This is a delicious recipe! My curry powder already had red pepper flakes in it so I omitted that and we pan fried them - yummy!! I will definitely make these again.

Chicken Pot Pie VII

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
This was very good. A few mistakes I made were that I used onion powder and not salt therefore I should have added a bit of salt to the crust. The other thing is I used 1/3 cup of frozen peas, corn, and greenbeans (I buy the big bag from Costco and use as needed); because they were frozen they do not have the added salt. I steamed briefly diced carrots and white potatoes. I mixed all of this with the soup and leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. It was all very tasty but we had to add salt because it was lacking :-)

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
Really good. I didn't have enough eggs on hand so I substituted banana (1/2 banana=1egg) and I should have cut back a bit on the sugar because of this but it is incredibly good, just a little sweeter than it probably should be. We will have no problems finishing this though. I may try freezing slices for quick breakfast once school starts.
