Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2014
These are really delicious weather you use caned or even a regular jack-o-lantern pumpkin. The only thing I would do differently from the recipe is simple check them at 15 minutes instead of 20-25. In my oven 15 mins at 400 f is perfect.

Beat and Bake Orange Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
The only reason I am giving this cake a 4 star instead of 5 is because I used a special ingredient in mine. I substituted the oil for some speshial blood orange olive oil. Awwww...So good! So it amped up the orange flavoring. But I am sure it would be really good without the orange oil.

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2012
I used this for a birthday cake, it turned out really good for my first time. It rolled out pretty good and I was able to make some really pretty flat style flowers. When it came to vines it was hard to get them as thin as I wanted with out having them brake all the time. (I was wrapping them around the side so couldn't let them try or they would crack when I put them on.) I recommend 48 hours of drying for any more delicate work if it it going to be used on top of the cake. And this will not work for dynamic pop out flowers. Remember that is this butter cream and is a bit harder to work with then marshmallow because it is greaser and wetter. BUT, It taste allot better then traditional Fondant in my opinion! I will most definitely be using this again. Thought probably more as just the base, and then using Marshmallow for the more delicate stuff. (great for simple cut out shapes though.)

Sour Cream Bundt Cake

I used this recipe for making my fathers Birthday cake. He isn't in to over sweet foods but loved this. I teamed it with a simple glaze frosting. I will be using this recipe again.

Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: May 30, 2012
2 and a half teaspoons milk...what a laugh. It barely even wet the confectioners sugar. your going to half to add at least two more, but be careful its really easy to add to much. (I did that the first time and it all ended up on the plate and not my cake.) Add one teaspoon at a time and whisk until its all one big sugar glob and then just dribble it in a drop or two at a time. (yes just a little at a time) When the edges of the sugar glob start to get runny and break away your probably have enough just whisk, whisk, whisk, until its all smooth. The best consistency will take about a minute to settle and then another minute to gently run down the sides of your cake.

Sour Cream Rhubarb Pie

I fallowed the directions to the tee and it turned out good. I did have to bake it for a few extra minutes though, but that is probably just my oven. My husband enjoyed it so thumbs up!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
I doubled and tripled the spices in this recipe and since my roast was frozen I put it on the night before and cooked it on low until the next morning. (turning it down to 'keep warm' until lunch.) It turned out really good in my opinion and just good in my husbands. My favorite part has to be the onions, they are so full of flavor. Next time I will pull all the meet apart in the morning and eat it like shredded pork.

Satay Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
My husband was born in The Netherlands and Indonesian food is really popular over there. This recipe tastes JUST like the Satay sauce his mother buys in there grocery stores. We give it thumbs up all around. We have used it for the family and for entertaining. Didn't change a thing.

Bagels II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
The only thing I will do deferential next time I bake this is take the temperature down a bit. Must be my oven but at 500 f my beagle bottoms were slightly burnt at 15 minutes and the recipe said around 20. Other then that our first try has turned out really good. Thanks to my husband for top rate kneading!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
Really, really delicious. I took this recipe to our church christmas dinner and both casserole dishes were one of the first to be emptied despite my husband bringing me home HOT Italian Sausage because he couldn't find the Turkey Sausage i asked for. I did add twice as much broth because of baking out side of the turkey and also to allow for extra time in the oven just keeping warm. But other then that no changes were made and I loved it.
