Summer Squash Puffs

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2006
This is an excellent recipe but I do have a sugestion. Add 1/2 tsp. of garlic salt and 3/4 to 1 cup of cheddar cheese. My family and I enjoyed these puffs with squash straight from the garden

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
My family loved this recipe. I did not make any changes except for seasonings. I added salt, pepper, garlic and some Italian seasonings to the tomatos. I think the bad reviews were because there was not too much about seasoning in the recipe. You are only going to get good results if you put in good things. Also do not be worried about the mushroom soup on top. It worked right in. All togother this was a very good dish!

This is a very good recipe. I made a few changes the second time I made it for my personal taste. I used a less cream cheese and a little more syrup. My family found it absolutely agreeable for a cold night supper

I fixed these exactly as recipe indicated. They were wonderful. I doubt that I will buy frozen fries any more. Highly recommend this recipe.

Honey Mustard Dressing II

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
I had never tried honey mustard dressing before and I have to say what a wonderful treat it was. We had a tossed salad with chicken chunks one of those super hot days we had recently. This dressing was so good and so easy to make, I think it will be my regular for a while. It is an excellent recipe!

This dish is wonderful. Quick, easy, and very flavorful. I did not have bok choy so I used regular cabbage. I will be adding this to my recipe box for sure!

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
This is the first time I have ever made zucchini bread but it won't be the last time. I made this recipe exactly as instructed and my family thought it was wonderful. Very easy to assemble with ingredients that are standard in most kitchens.

Red River Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
This is an excellent recipe. With a little advanced prep. dinner can be ready in a snap. I followed the recipe exactly except for using the basil. My family does not care for it. I served it with broccoli, egg noodle and hot rolls.

Balsamic Pea Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
I fixed this salad tonight with a few changes. I cut mayonaise to half cup and also vinegar to one tablespoon. I prepared it about 2 hours before supper and that was just enough for flavors to blend. Very easy and unsual salad. I will make this again

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
These biscuits were over the top! They were crusty on top and moist and soft on the inside. The only change I made was to add a little more than 1/2 tsp. of salt. Cooking time and ingredients were exactly right. Anyone who likes a good biscuit won't be disapointed

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
I have been making the chocolate Kaluah pound cake for some time and then I found this recipe. It is much better than all the others I have tried. The ingredients and the cooking time make a perfect cake. If you are currently making other recipes of the same cake, I would definetly try this one!

Apple Pie Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I needed a can of apple pie filling last night but didn't want to go to the store. I used this recipe and had it calculated for 4 servings. It was delicious and also saved me money. Homemade was much cheaper than store bought and also had more apples in it. Good recipe! I will definetely use this again.

Chicken Spinach Quiche

My family and I thought this was wonderful. I used a combination of swiss and smoked gouda instead of cheddar cheese. Next time I make it I am going to try just a touch of garlic. I am looking forward to making this again. Great recipe!

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
I have made many apple pies and this is one of the best. There is sweetness but so much that the apple flavor does not come through. I can highly recommend this recipe just as printed to anyone.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
I thought these were excellent. I needed more peppers than called for and I did add some dry ranch dressing mix to the cream cheese. Lots of reviews said to use a whole slice of bacon, however, we only used half slice and found that to be very satisfactory.

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
The cake is very good. Just as easy as opening a cake mix and the ingredients are most always avaliable in any kitchen. Loved the ease of mixing this cake also. Can recommend this to anyone who wants good chocolate cake. I did not make the frosting given. I used a mocha cream frosting. Made a very elegant looking cake

Italian Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
I have been cooking for over 40 years and have plenty of experience baking. This is one of the best cake recipes that I have ever tried. I made it according to the directions except for changing nuts to English Walnuts because I didn't have pecans. This will be my special occasion cake from now on. Just wonderful!
