Red River Beef Stroganoff

This is an excellent recipe. With a little advanced prep. dinner can be ready in a snap. I followed the recipe exactly except for using the basil. My family does not care for it. I served it with broccoli, egg noodle and hot rolls.

Balsamic Pea Salad

I fixed this salad tonight with a few changes. I cut mayonaise to half cup and also vinegar to one tablespoon. I prepared it about 2 hours before supper and that was just enough for flavors to blend. Very easy and unsual salad. I will make this again

Kentucky Biscuits

These biscuits were over the top! They were crusty on top and moist and soft on the inside. The only change I made was to add a little more than 1/2 tsp. of salt. Cooking time and ingredients were exactly right. Anyone who likes a good biscuit won't be disapointed

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

I have been making the chocolate Kaluah pound cake for some time and then I found this recipe. It is much better than all the others I have tried. The ingredients and the cooking time make a perfect cake. If you are currently making other recipes of the same cake, I would definetly try this one!

I have made this cake several times and always find it to be excellent. Cakes are desserts and suppose to be sweet, just cut a smaller piece. Wonderful recipe!

Apple Pie Filling

I needed a can of apple pie filling last night but didn't want to go to the store. I used this recipe and had it calculated for 4 servings. It was delicious and also saved me money. Homemade was much cheaper than store bought and also had more apples in it. Good recipe! I will definetely use this again.

Chicken Spinach Quiche

My family and I thought this was wonderful. I used a combination of swiss and smoked gouda instead of cheddar cheese. Next time I make it I am going to try just a touch of garlic. I am looking forward to making this again. Great recipe!

I have made many apple pies and this is one of the best. There is sweetness but so much that the apple flavor does not come through. I can highly recommend this recipe just as printed to anyone.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

I thought these were excellent. I needed more peppers than called for and I did add some dry ranch dressing mix to the cream cheese. Lots of reviews said to use a whole slice of bacon, however, we only used half slice and found that to be very satisfactory.

Tomato Pie II

My family thoroughly enjoyed this recipe. I made it exactly by the recipe but mixed cheddar and mozzarella cheese. It was quick, easy and very economical especially now that fresh tomatoes are so abundant. Loved it!

Italian Wedding Cake

I have been cooking for over 40 years and have plenty of experience baking. This is one of the best cake recipes that I have ever tried. I made it according to the directions except for changing nuts to English Walnuts because I didn't have pecans. This will be my special occasion cake from now on. Just wonderful!

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Tried these last night with chicken tenders and they were really good. Somewhat of a Mexican taste. I did not make kabobs just cooked them on the grill. Served grilled summer squash and eggplant with them for a quick Saturday night supper.

Thai-Style Tilapia

I thought this recipe was very good. I am always serching for new and different recipes and this one fit the task. I did not use the lemon grass or turmeric as where I live it was not avilable but we still enjoyed it. Gave tilapia a whole new taste.

Awesome Egg Rolls

I thought these egg rolls were better than you get from most Chinese restaurants. The only fault I find is that they were very greasy after cooking, thats the only reason they didn't get 5 stars. I added some finely chopped cooked tenderloin to the recipe

Chicken Divan

This recipe was very good. I did not add water chestuts because my children do not like them. I think about 1/4 cup of canned milk or half and half would make the sauce seep into the chicken and broccoli better so that the sauce does not just sit on top. I will make this again!

Southern Praline Pecan Cake

I just made this cake yesterday and found it to be very good. Not my very favorite but worthy of keeping the recipe. I made it exactly by the directions except I had to use a butter recipe yellow cake mix. I could not find the butter pecan mix where I live. I let it cool about 1 1/2 hours in the pan. I think a caramel glaze would be good on it. I may try it next time and there will be a next time!
