About this Cook
I live in the midwest but yearn for the northwest! Travel there every chance we get.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, soups/stews, Mexican food, slow cooking, and trying new foods in wraps.
My cooking tragedies
Actually it was my sister AND my sister-in-law years ago who made pumpkin pies (on different occasions) and merely dumped a can of pumpkin into a piecrust and baked it - without ever adding any ingredients! This was before a person could even buy the premade pumpkin pie mix in the can. They both said the pie was orange and had deep cracks and fissures and the birds wouldn't even eat it!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili
AWESOME as written! My chili was never consistent because I neve did have a 'recipe'. Now this will be the ONLY way I'll fix chili. That said, my husband prefers more tomatoes so I simply split the chili and toss a can of crushed tomatoes into his. Thanks for a keeper!

Margaritas with a Bite
We use 6 oz. Tequilla, 2 oz. Triple Sec and toss in 1 - 2 oz. Orange Juice to take out the 'bite'. This is the BEST margarita recipe out there!

Perfect Flat Iron Steak
AWESOME! Had to use dry herbs and didn't have Wine so I used Red Wine Vinegar - the steak was great. Will definately get some fresh herbs to use next time tho. This recipe is a keeper!
