A little too sweet for our taste - I'll make it again, but next time without the sugar.

Sweet Chili Thai Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
Very good. I made with 1/2 the sugar as suggested by others, and a little more cornstarch. To keep the cornstarch from getting lumpy I mixed it in a small bowl with a couple of tablespoons of the hot water/vinegar mixture.

Cranberry Swirl Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
I used leftover Thanksgiving cranberry sauce to make this (Cranberry Sauce recipe from this site with cranberries and orange juice - yum!). I didn't have any sour cream, so I used leftover unwhipped whipping cream, and it still turned out great. I made a glaze with orange juice and confectioner's sugar as recommended by another reviewer - went really well with the oj in the cranberry sauce. Great way to use up Thanksgiving leftovers!

I made muffins instead of a loaf - very good. Cooking time was about half.

Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2003
Even after adding the cornstarch I found this more like a chunky beef soup. I added a beef bouillion cube and omitted the extra salt to give it more flavor.

Hamburger Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2003
Like others I doubled the amount of water and also added a jar of canned tomatoes with juice to make it a bit more soupy. I also added more spices with the salt and pepper: oregano, basil, thyme, parsley, garlic, celery salt, and dehydrated onion. Hearty and delicious!

Baked Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2003
Very yummy for something different! I think next time I'll use a little less butter as the squash didn't soak it all up and it ended up leaking out into the pan and burning.

Delicious! Like other reviewers suggestions I added 1/3 c. homemade applesauce and 1/3 c. oil. I also added 2c. rhubarb and 3/4 c. walnuts. It was nice and moist.

Red Curried Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2003
This was yummy, I didn't have garam marsala, or cumin, so I put in a teaaspoon of allspice instead of garam marsala, it gave it a nice, sweet flavor but not overpowering. I think that next time I'll try it with the right spices. But it was very nice for something different.

Buffalo Chicken Sauce

A little thin, any suggestions to make it thicker? (Cornstarch didn't work out so well...)

This was really tasty. I only had three eggs on hand this time, so that's all I used. It still tasted really good.

Nice flavor. Next time I think I'll do as other reviewers did and brew the tea a little stronger and also maybe add a handful of walnuts to add a little crunch!

I made the frosting without the honey, this cut the sweetness a bit.

YUMMY!!!! Taste would change depending on type of BBQ sauce used. We used Kraft Extra Rich Original! Sauce turned out thick and tasty - gave ribs a very nice flavor!
