I just made this recipe and did have to make a few changes, the pie would have been very dry if I didn't double the recipe for the sauce. Also, I did cook the chicken alone with half butter and half olive oil, I seasoned it with garlic powder, onion powder, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Once the chicken was done, I removed and made my sauce with the same pan drippings, adding extra butter and flour to allow for more sauce base. Once that was good and thick I added the vegetables, once about done I did have to add more broth as it was a bit thick. The bottom shell I cooked with an egg white brush for 6 minutes, added my filling, topped it with the top shell, brushed with egg whites and cooked for about a half hour, came out perfect!!
