Pasta Primavera with Smoked Gouda

The pasta sauce tasted fresh and good but it was ruined by the cheese. Far too much cheese in this recipe made the pasta too sticky and unless you got a chunk of tomato/carrot ect in the bite all you tasted was gouda! and i like gouda. made it again with 1/3 cup gouda and 1.5 cans of tomatos and it was a lot better.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Gooey and yummy, not dry like the other apple pies I've tried to make and it was very easy. I added vanilla like a lot of the comments here say to do, but was way too much for my pie since I don't like vanilla, if you're not a fan like me add only a little bit of vanilla in it sweetens it up without making it too..vanilla-y. I used Cortland and Macintosh apples for my pie as well which may have added to the bit too sweet.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

As a new cook I found this to be very easy and very yummy! I have served it to a few guests and they all love it as well. I use a little more ginger and only 1 tbs of rooster sauce because I don't do well with heat. My boyfriend adds more hot sauce to his but says it blends well even after cooking. I also toss in some bell peppers and onions and let them simmer in the pan for a little while to soak up the sauce. Without the veggies I thought it was a little lack luster but adding them in makes this a really tasty dish we never have leftovers.

Smothered Pierogies

This is a tasty way to make frozen pierogies a bit more fancy but I didn't follow this recipe too tightly. (hence the 3 stars) I changed out mozzarella for gouda because I don't like mozzarella and only use about 5oz. Also took out mushrooms and sausage because people on my house don't eat either and subbed in onions and another seasonal veggie (have used carrots, green beans and corn all were good). Season mix is perfect!
