Even though there are tons of reviews on this one, I had to throw my 2 cents in! This recipe came to my rescue tonight. Several weeks ago, I'd bought a 2-lb "value pack of assorted pork cuts" from my grocery store, HEB, at a huge discount. I thawed them out the other day and absolutely had to cook them tonight. I didn't quite know what to do with it. It's was a pkg of bone-in chops - thick and thin, boneless chops, pork shoulder steaks, and other cuts I couldn't identify. I came across this recipe and thought I'd give it a shot. I used a beef buillion cube in 12oz of water to simmer them in the crockpot for 4 hours. Then I broke up the meat with my fingers, combined it with half a jar of Nick's BBQ Sauce (great sauce from Carlisle, AK), 1/3c of the simmering liquid, and baked it in a glass dish sprayed with PAM for 30 mins. I just threw it on hamburger buns and it was unbelievably tasty and moist. I can't thank you enough for this quick and easy recipe. I'll be looking for those value packs again. Even now as I type this, hubby is heading back to the kitchen for another sandwich....and he's already had two!
