Ginger Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
This was pretty good, but not the best. I followed the recipe exactly, except I omitted the salt and we grilled the steaks instead of broiling. A tasty dinner, but nothing to write home about.

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
These were delicious. I was cooking for my husband and myself, so I cut the recipe in half. Also, I only had ground turkey on hand, and used that instead of the trio of meats. I added 1 teaspoon of italian seasoning, and I mixed in some parmesan cheese with the romano. I didn't have any fresh parsley on hand, so I used 1 teaspoon of dried parsley. Also, instead of adding all water to the mixture, I used 1/4 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of water. Magnificent. This recipe is a keeper.

Chicken Vicious

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
This was excellent. We used brown sugar instead of white, as one of the reviewers suggested, and it turned out fabulous. Will make again and often.

Chicken Tequila Fettuccini

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
Fantastic dish. We followed the advice of others and doubled the amount of jalapeno peppers - that gave it just the right kick. Also, I sauteed the veggies in olive oil, not butter. My husband loves spicy food, and he declared this to be his new favorite meal.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
This was excellent. I didn't have any onion powder, but that didn't seem to make a difference. I used a pinch of celery salt instead of the recommended 1/8 teaspoon, and I added a pinch of garlic. It had a wonderful flavor.

Marinade for Steak I

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2004
This was excellent. My husband & I have been looking for a good steak marinade for a while now-- this is the one! I only added 1/3 cup soy sauce b/c soy sauce is always too salty for my tastes. Other than that, I followed the recipe.

Spanish Rice Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2004
This was excellent. I used petite diced tomatoes b/c we aren't big tomato people. I also added some hot sauce for an extra kick. Made great leftovers. Will definitley make again.

Fresh Asparagus and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
This was a bit of a disappointment. It smelled so good while it was cooking, but the end flavor was somewhat bland. I added parmesan cheese while it was cooking, but that didn't quite do the trick.

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
This is the best meatloaf I've ever tasted. I added a few bread crumbs in addition to the fresh bread, but otherwise left the recipe the same. The sauce is amazing.

Mother-in-law Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2004
Very good recipe. I did have to add extra broth though. Also, I cut the carrots and celery into smaller pieces so that I could leave them in the broth and not discard them.

Broiled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2003
I really liked this sauce. I rubbed some minced garlic on the pork chops before adding the sauce. And I didn't broil- cooked on a George Foreman Grill. Came out quite tasty! Husband liked having the extra sauce to put on the pork chops as we ate. I'll make it again.

Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2003
Pretty tasty. I added extra hotsauce. This was a nice change from the typical ways I prepare chicken in our house. I feel like three is something still missing, though- I'll try this recipe again but play around with it a bit.

I only made the meatballs. Nice texture, but BLAND, BLAND, BLAND! Next time I will try the sauce recipe, but find a different meatball recipe.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2003
This is one of my favorite recipes now! I love fixing it when we have guests come over for dinner. Excellent flavor- I still need to figure out how to get the sauce a bit thicker. I added cornstarch last time and that seemed to help.
