Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2015
The very 1st time I tried this (last summer) I made half the recipie as it was just 2 of us and it was perfect - I melted butter first then added minced garlic and simmer just til fragrent then cream mixed til warm and barely simmering before I added cheese. I used shredded parm not the grated and just a bit at a time stirring it it before adding more. Cooking seemed to take a bit longer than the 15 minutes. Have tried over and over to "recreate" that first time but just not the same! Still a delicious recipe that I have continued to make-its whats for dinner tonight with sauteed shrimp on top. Thanks for recipe!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2014
Made it yesterday. I used 3 large chicken breast halves and it was plenty! 5 sandwiches, someone ate half of a breast as is, plus some leftovers! I also used the whole packet of ranch mix (why save a half of packet?) And threw the butter and sprinkled some celery seed in with it all. I shredded the chicken when done, put it back in the sauce and let it stay warm while I cooked fries. Also Served with dill pickle spears and coleslaw-which cools some of the bite...but we like spicy here. As I write I have chicken wing dip in the oven which I used the leftovers! Will certainly make again.

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2014
Saw recipie last Sunday, Made it last Sunday for snack to munch on during the football games- didn't last long! We couldn't stop eating it. I followed directions only used italian seasoning (didn't have basil but italian seasoning covered it) and added some garlic powder and couple shakes of hot pepper flakes. I also baked it originally but warmed in in microwave. Couldn't find the bagel chips I wanted so ended up using "scoop" style tortilla chips. Kids are requesting I just make "one huge dish" of it so they can eat it for dinner. Thanks for quick simple and delish snack ! Oh and yes, its being made tomorrow's games too!

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2014
Used 2.5 lb roast, the cream of mushroom, 1 pkg dry onion soup mix and 3 beef bullion mixed into 2c hot water. Poured it over roast in crock pot, cooked 8hrs on low. I made mashed potatoes as I do not like everything to taste the same. Made wonderful gravy with juices- 1/4c butter melted, added 1/4 flour til mixed well, then about 1 1/2c of pan juices and 1c of warmed milk. There are 5 of us and all went back for 2nds. Just happy there is enough left for me to take for lunch tomorrow.. I will never make a pot roast any other way again!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2013
I have made this a few times since finding it-the first time exactly as written-its SO GOOD. The last couple times I added more ham and potatoes (increased liquids to match) and added carrots as well. Kids have asked for corn instead of celery, which I will try next time. I have never made potato soup before this and will not look for another recipe. Thought of using this as a base for clam chowder though I've never made that either! I forgot to add, I've thrown some cooked, crumbled bacon on the top before for texture and serve with nice crusty rolls or bread. Yum!

Dripping Roast Beef Sandwiches with Melted Provolone

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
Made as is for boyfriend, he loved it. I added mayo & spicy mustard on the roll for mine, yum! My 11 y/o son didnt want the french onion soup (ew, onions!) so I made his "plain". He tried mine and said he would have it have his next time with the soup. Quick, easy, delicious and sooo good on a cold afternoon.
