Holiday Chicken Salad

I LOVE chicken salad, and this recipe is fantastic! Couldn't wait the one hour to chill, so I ate it immediately after I made it. Put it on sourdough bread. Sooo heavenly! I followed the recipe exactly. However, being the impatient (and 5 months pregnant) person that I am, I included one shortcut: I just added 3 bags of the Purdue (or Tyson) cooked chicken strips found in the meat section of the grocery store. I cut the strips into cubes and threw them in. I'm sure the same could be done with a rotisserie chicken as well. That way, you save yourself the step of cooking the chicken. Can't wait to have it for lunch tomorrow!

Mom's Stovetop Pork Ribs

Delicious! I read the other reviews and also reduced the amount of soy sauce, especially since I bought a smaller package of spareribs. I also boiled the ribs solely with water for the first hour to get them more tender, then I added the other ingredients and followed the recipe. I didn't let all the liquid boil away as my husband and I love sauce, so I made sure there was enough sauce to serve over the ribs and rice. Wow, delicious! I ate more than my share. Will definitely be making these again and again!

Quick Chicken And Wine

Excellent! I added garlic powder to the salt/pepper seasoning. Other than that, followed the recipe exactly and it turned out well. Chicken was very flavorful and juicy. Served with brown rice and veggie medley. Yummy :-)

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Tasty and easy to make. Hubby liked it. Sauce was delish - next time, I will double the sauce recipe since we are sauce people. Served over jasmine rice. Yummy!

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

I make this almost once a week! My husband and I love this dish, and I love how easy it is to make. I put 4 or 5 cloves of garlic and substitute chicken broth for half of the heavy cream, as Mary (the author) suggested. Delicious!

Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake

Excellent! Didn't read the reviews prior to making, so could have used the advice on not using the devil's food cake w/pudding mix (but that's all the store had!). I should have left out the instant pudding. Otherwise, very tasty and chocolatey cake. Hubby and I found that it tasted better the next day after it had been in the fridge - it was yummy cold and moist!

Pumpkin Crescent Rolls

I made these for my husband's Thanksgiving potluck lunch at work, and they were a major hit! Even the cafe chefs loved them! They were easy to make - a refreshing twist on crescent rolls, especially during the holidays.

Asparagus Parmesan

Oriental Style Ginger Dressing

I was looking for the flavorful ginger dressing you'd find at a Japanese hibachi steakhouse, and this recipe is definitely not it. It tastes ok, but I ended up throwing it out after eating one serving over salad. The ingredients just didn't seem to mesh well together after whisking. Alas, I continue my search for that elusive creamy ginger dressing...
