Spaghetti Olio

This just happens to be my favorite way to eat pasta. On days when I need extra zip in my life I like to add a few red pepper flakes and of course, coarse black pepper. Thanks for reminding me. I just might have this for dinner.

Pork and Bean Bread

With a name like that, I simply had to give it a try. What a nice surprise! The aroma is fantastic. It carried all the way outdoors. The texture is moist and it has a nice crunchy crust. The taste is superb. Easy to make, lovely to smell and wonderful to taste. What more could we ask for? I will be passing this recipe on. Thanks!

Tossed Romaine and Orange Salad

Coney Island Sauce

Famous Butter Chicken

Loved it! I sliced my breasts lengthwise to make chicken strips. I also added a bit of olive oil along with the butter to keep the butter from browning too much. Taking a cue from the other reviewers I added more spice, cayenne, garlic and sage. I also added a little flour and grated parmesan cheese to my cracker crumbs. It was wonderful. Cranberry Pork Roast

Watch out for the cloves! I added less than what was called for, yet I still felt it was too much. Next time I will add just a pinch. To replace the juice, I added water. And I also only added a tablespoon of sugar. The end result was really very tasty and the meat was extremely tender. I used country ribs in place of the roast. We will be making this again.

Zippy Egg Casserole

This is a very satifying recipe! I have used frozen shredded potatoes instead of the bread with terrific results. The pepper-jack cheese is what makes this recipe special. Thanks, Jeanie Bean.

Li'l Cheddar Meat Loaves

Very tasty! In place of the shredded cheddar I used cubed cheddar, which was a good cheesey choice. I also added fresh ground pepper and some garlic powder. I formed it into one meatloaf, because we love the leftover meatloaf made into sandwiches. The glaze was just a tad sticky, but very good.

Clone of a Cinnabon

I think what I was looking for was a copy of my mother's long gone recipe for her cinnamon rolls. I think what I wanted was the aroma of yeast and cinnamon from our kitchen on saturday afternoon. It seemed to fill our home with warm anticapation as we waited for our sunday morning treat. What I found was almost as wonderful. The only thing missing was my mom. Jeanie Bean

Caramelized Bacon

Couldn't get the crispness that I expected. The flavor was great, especially after I sprinkled it with cracked pepper. I wonder if the oven temperature as well as the amount of fat on the bacon contributed to the lack of crispness. Jeanie Bean

Warm Maple, Ham and Apple Coffeecake

Nice recipe! Have made it a few times and haven't had a problem. Although we do like our ham shredded rather than chopped and we prefer to have our biscuits laying flat rather than points upward. Really good taste and quite different for our family and friends. Thanks

Orange Chicken

Rub Noodle Potato Soup

This is a terrific soup! I used a combination of Yukon Gold and red skinned potatoes and probably used more potatoes than the recipe stated. Also, as a reviewer suggested, I cooked my potatoes in a chicken broth. In addition,I smashed some of the potatoes. It was thick, rich and wonderful. Will make it again! Thanks Jeanie Bean
