Butter Crescents

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2003
not like pilsbury but these taste great. thought they'd be a little more buttery in taste but they're actually like sweet rolls. and they're really soft! I put ham/sliced hot dogs, cream cheese and chopped jalapeno peppers in some of them and OH MY GOD that was some good stuff!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2003
i thought these were going to turn out harder but nope, they're really bready and actually they're great! mm i didn't try the icing but maybe i'll do that later on. I think they probably would taste better with the icing although they're very sweet already

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
tastes great! i used red apples but i think next time i will use green apples for the tartness. Also I reduced the sugar to 1 1/2 cups which i'm glad i did because the struesel topping is very sweet itself. but overall this recipe turned out wonderful.

Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2003
this was my first time making pumpkin soup. I guess my tastebuds just dont like pumpkin soup because i didn't want anymore after the first spoonful. I'm sure it would have been great for others though.

Vanilla Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2003
this pie tasted great. The vanilla really gave pumpkin pie a new and interesting flavor. The only thing was that 20 minutes in a 450 degree oven really burned the entire edge of my crust so i had to break that part off. But other than that, everything else turned out great

Really Creamy Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2003
this tasted pretty good. I halved the cream cheese like some others did and it came out great. the only down side is that the oil and the cheese started separating within a couple minutes and the texture became somewhat chunky. but it still tasted good.

Cheesiest Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2003
SO PERFECT! I tried another cheese and potato soup before this one and I thought that one was pretty okay but this one definitely beats it. The consitency is sooooooo smooth and the soup was overall so yummy! I'm throwing the other recipe out and replacing it with this one

Apricot Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2003
This was a nice spongecake but the almond extract overpowers the apricot flavor. I would probably add another 1/4 cup of apricot nectar to get more flavor. Also, with 5 eggs, there's a rather strong egg taste to the cake but still, it wasn't too bad. For the first review, you do have to set aside 3/4 cup of sugar because the recipe said to sift only 1/2 cup of the sugar.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2003
I really enjoyed this recipe. It was so simple to make and the outcome was excellent! I ommited the white sugar, used margarine (only half a cup), and reduced the chocolate chips to a cup. Although my alterations made the cookies a little more bread-y than cookie-like, it was still delicious. Well, anyways i liked it bready :)

Barbeque Sauce I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2003
I liked the consistency of the sauce however I didn't enjoy the flavor too much. I felt that it was too sour and vinegary so I add a little bit more brown sugar. In addition, I added a tablespoon of garlic powder, 1/2 tablespoon of rosemary, some sage, thyme, and dill weed. It tasted a lot better

Honey Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2003
Wow this bread turned out great! I had only one loaf pan so I used a muffin pan as well and they made excellent rolls. I think maybe next time I'll add a little more honey, maybe doubling, for a stronger honey taste. But I will definately keep this recipe!

Pizza Sauce I

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2003
I really enjoyed this recipe! I made my own dough using Jay's Signature Pizza Dough and using this sauce made the pizza taste so fresh! It's kind of like fresh salsa; this was a nice change to the regular takeout or canned sauces.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2003
This was so easy and tastes great! I added a little more powdered chocolate because I wanted a stronger flavor but I really did enjoy this recipe especially since I could have a less sweet pudding unlike those instant jello ones. thanks!

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2003
This was okay. The sauce was too bland so I added salt and pepper and a few dashes of garlic powder plus 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. The texture of the sauce became a little too thick but it helped to add some milk.
