Syrup on the Bottom French Toast Casserole

Soggy Bottom. Didn't care for the syrup on the bottom idea. Tasty except for that. I wouldn't make it again as written.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

So appropriately named!! Truly an awesome recipe that left everyone salivating. Used a 5# chuck roast, deboned and netted. Just a few very minor adjustments...I seasoned and seared the meat first the night before cooking. Put it into the crock pot ceramic insert along with the other ingredients listed and also some chopped carrots and baby bellas. Used only about a cup of water. Left it in the fridge overnight and cooked it for exactly 8 hours the next day. Removed roast and veggies and reduced the wonderful gravy and thickened it slightly. Makes more gravy than you'll need....I plan to freeze it and use it for salisbury steaks later. Delicious!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

This was very good except I used shredded parmesan instead of grated. Will try grated next time. I was expecting more of a crunchy crust, so maybe the grated parm will make the difference. Either way, it tastes delicious.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Great basic recipe...you can play around with any "add-on's" that suit your fancy. I added chopped scallions and some fennel seed...GREAT!

Ramen Coleslaw

I started out skeptical, but I was very impressed! This salad is yummy day of or day after it's made. I made a few substitutions for items I had on hand (red wine vinegar for the white and napa instead of regular cabbage). I did feel that the almonds and sesame seeds were a little browner than I'd like; next time I'll watch them more closely. I served this with a grilled chicken breast on top for a healthy salad/meal. Thanks, Mary, for this great recipe!

Maple Salmon

What can I say...FANTASTIC. This one will surely be a favorite in my house! I served it over Near East Roasted Pecan and Garlic brown rice and poured the extra sauce on the rice. Superb!
