About this Cook
I am a wife and mother of 2 year old twins. I love to cook and bake for my family and friends. I am always collecting recipes from any and all places I see them. Trying new recipes and techniques are always so much fun.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods in the winter time. They warm the heart and soul along with the stomach.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Getting together with family and friends during the holidays. Food, family, friends, and lots of love.....what could be better.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime that I can take a new recipe that may not suit our tastes and turn it into something we love.
My cooking tragedies
Making a smoothie in my new blender when I was very pregnant with twins. I didn't realize that the cap to the drink dispenser wasn't locked on and the smoothie shot off the cap and sprayed me and my kitchen.

Roasted Garlic Lemon Broccoli
My family absolutely loves this method of cooking the broccoli. Even my 3 year old twins love it. We never eat broccoli any other way now.

Microwave Scalloped Potatoes
Awesome recipe! I always want to make Scalloped Potatoes but I am always in a hurry. This recipe tastes just like the baked kind. The only thing I did changed was that I diced the potatoes instead of slicing. It made sense to me because you are stirring them throughout the cooking process. I didn't want to end up with mashed potatoes.
