Whipped Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
Easy to make and fluffy. When making whipped cream, it is a MUST to freeze the bowl and whisk - makes for a sturdy whip cream. Also, be sure your whisk and bowl are free from oils. This recipe is very cream cheesy, so if you don't like too much cream cheese flavor, be sure to adjust recipe to accommodate your tastes. Many reviews said this was "not too sweet" I have to disagree. I didn't even put in the whole amount of sugar and was a bit surprised it was so sweet. Based on reading the other reviews, I thought taking down the sugar for my tastes would be good. For those of you who like things less sweet I recommend 1/2 C of sugar. Next time I make this (there will be definitely a next time) I will add way less sugar, unless I add cocoa powder....or lemon zest...or....mmmm, now I'm ready to make more ;) Happy baking!

Fun Cookie Suckers

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
We used this recipe to make fun shapes instead of suckers and they were a hit! I used less sugar because I'm not a big fan of super sweet cookies and it was just perfect. I read that one reviewer said they used liquid food color, not the paste as the recipe calls for and bought some since my local store didn't have the paste. I found that the blue wasn't as true as the paste coloring is, but otherwise found no difference in texture. Thanks for posting this recipe, it's a keeper.

Amazing Simple Thai Tofu

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Very filling! One needs to add water right before adding the peanut butter. Many users say that the recipe needs more pep or kick. If you REALLY like ginger then take their advice, otherwise stick to the recipe. I added red pepper flakes to give this more kick and my husband added chili sauce for more kick. We also added more soy sauce.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
Make more sauce for Dipping! I didn't think my picky eaters would eat this, even though many other reviewers stated their picky eaters ate this dish. My two year old who doesn't eat more than two bites of anything we cook actually gobbled this up and went back for more! I didn't have steak sauce so I used worcestershire sauce and just a touch of molasses since the honey gives a lot of sweetness already.

Creamy Potato and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2006
This recipe was super easy to make. I found it velvety and rich. Although the soup was more like mashed potatoes and needed a little pick me up (pepper or a shot of hot sauce)my family and I really enjoyed this soup. No need to add so many potatoes unless you are going to use milk instead of the heavy cream. I also would recommed using three leeks. We will definately use this recipe again. Thanks so much for sharing!

This was absolutely great! I increased the liquid so I could make gravy for mashed potatoes. My whole family really enjoyed this!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This recipe is great! I made extra so I could use the leftovers for sandwiches and salads over the next few days. I used about a 1/4 teaspoon extra light virgin olive oil instead of butter and didn't use any seasoning salt (it really doesn't need the extra salt). I will take some of the other reviwers' recommendations and try real onion and garlic next time I make this.

Becky's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This recipe was easy to make, my eight year old loved helping make this. The only thing I thought is it had a little too much mayonnaise for my taste. I didn't have any almonds so I used finely chopped walnuts instead and they worked great. I put this in a pita with some leafy green lettuce and it was very tasty. We will be making this again for sure!
