The Best Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
YUM! YUM! This was a hit for our Easter dinner. I may replace the vanilla pudding for banana next time so it will be extra banana-ish! My guests are already wanting the recipe and it's definitely worth passing on. Thank you for sharing!

Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
I think this is a very good cookie. I enjoyed the taste, appearance & texture. I omitted the raisins for my son because he doesn't like them, but he didn't like the cookie either. He's finicky, so next time, raisins are in! I want to make them again and add fresh chopped apples, walnuts would be good as well. I will be putting this one on my list for Christmas baking.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2003
I melted my butter in the microwave and poured 12 of it on the mixture. When it seemed too dry, I realized I had not put the amount I was suppose to put in so I added the other 12 cup. I lightly sprayed the bottom of the pan with butter. Then after I had it all pressed in the bottom of the pan, I realized I left out 23 cup of the graham cracker crumbs. Needless to say, I didn't go back and add them. I melted my topping in the microwave as well. I must say, they are WONDERFULLY YUMMY and attractive as well. This is definitely a recipe for my

Loaded Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
This is just plain WONDERFUL! I doubled the recipe which makes a lot, so I gave some to family and they loved it too. I put in more onions and put them in the milk while it was cooking; I added a package of instant garlic & herb mashed potatoes which thickened it more, I put in some garlic powder and I added a lot more cheese cause it makes a killer cheesey potato soup. You can't just fix this and leave it on the stove, you have to stick with it, but it's worth it. It has endless possibilities for those of you who are creative. Best of all, I learned to fix potates without getting them too soft by microwaving them, now I can make potato salad! Thank you Claire, this one is a real jewel!

This is best when it is given time to set out a bit after it's done. It's even better the second day!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

This is easy and yummy. I fixed it up in the microwave as another had suggested and used it on the recipe for "Double Chocolate Brownie Cake." I'm sure I'll be using it again for another treat. Thanks for sharing!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
These cookies look good and I had no problem getting them out of the pan, I purchased the mini-muffin pans to make them. I will use a regular peanut butter cookie recipe next time I make them because we enjoy more of a peanut butter flavor and it just wasn't there, other than that great recipe, pretty cookie and thank you for sharing! Just to update: I now use a recipe for peanut butter cookies that has 1 cup of peanut butter in it and it made these just perfectly for pb lovers like myself!

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
I fixed these for my son to take to a football bowl party and my son's opinion was "they were awesome!" I liked them, but for hubby and I, they were still too hot and I barely put any of the hot pepper sauce in. For the record, that's just us, we don't like any food that is hot and spicy.

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
First time making this and took to Thanksgiving gathering. It was a HUGE HIT! As others suggested, I used cinnabon frosting & baked in bundt pan. The aroma is incredible as it bakes. Make it & have a cup of coffee ready when it comes out of the oven. Thank you!

Daddy's Whisker Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
Thank you for sharing this recipe! I put too much milk so I added some instant potatoes to thicken, a bit of garlic powder and my husband requested some bacon bits to put on top. I didn't have any dill, but if I missed anything, I sure didn't taste it! First cold day after Summer and yummy hot soup for dinner. I'll make this again and pass it along as well!

Cut-Out Cookies in a Flower Pot

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
Thank you Laura for giving me the sugar cookie cut out recipe I have been searching for! After leaving the dough in the fridge overnight, it was hard. Left it out a while and worked with it and it was just fine. These are not to sweet and don't have that flour taste so many cookies do. Used another reviewer's suggestion and used JBS BOX's recipe on here for sugar cookie icing. I have Halloween cookies that are bakery quality and everyone who tasted them said the same thing. If you want a crisper cookie, cut them thinner. Once they start browning around the edges, they are done. BUT, even my overbaked ones tasted good. I used parchment paper to bake them on. Didn't change the recipe at all. I can't wait to make Christmas cookies in all different shapes this year with this recipe!

Pumpkin Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This was like a cake version of pumpkin pie and I loved it! As someone else suggested, I used 15 oz. can of pumpkin instead of 1 cup. I added: 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, 1 tsp. nutmeg and 1/2 tsp. cloves and I baked in a bundt pan for 45 minutes. I would suggest making it a day ahead cause it's much tastier after it sits a while and although I tried a caramel glaze that I failed, this morning I'm having it with Cool Whip and that is all you need on this cake along with a cup of coffee. I'm making it again for Thanksgiving, putting it in my recipe gift books and THANK YOU FOR SHARING!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I didn't have the beef broth so I just used water and my ribs had the bone in. I didn't even need 2 forks to shred, it was so tender it fell apart! Followed the rest of the recipe and all I can say is, I thought my way of doing this was good...but your version has replaced mine in the recipe box! Thank you for sharing!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
This is absolutely fabulous! I put it on angel hair pasta and then threw some shrimp scampi on top. It passed my teen son's taste test as well and that's a big accomplishment. I pass this recipe on to anyone who says "I wish I knew how to make alfredo sauce." It doesn't get any easier than this! Thank you for sharing!

I've made these for years and they are wonderful and everyone always likes them. You can use a piece of pineapple or a green olive instead of the pickle for variety. Can't eat just one! Thank you for sharing Courtney!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Always looking for something new to make cause the simpler it is the better my husband likes it. We both enjoyed this meal, I had a package of beef ribs in the freezer I used for the meat. I almost forget the cream cheese and because it wasn't thick at that point, I added about a tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken the gravy, then I remembered the cream chesse. I like mushrooms, he doesn't so I sauteed them and put them on my portion only. Both of us were happy! I'll be adding this to my recipes. Thank you for sharing!
