Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
Pretzels..who would of thought. This is just plain yummy! Being a gal from the South, I like my food rich and fattening...no fat free and sugar free for me. I might get hit by a car tomorrow, so I'm enjoying good stuff like this today! Thank you for sharing your recipe!

Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
I've made this 3 times now. I've used frozen italian bread loaves and also pizza crust frozen bread loaves. Both worked fine. I add garlic powder to the egg mixture and coat heavy on the inside and lightly on the outside. Whatever you like on your pizza, throw it in there! I like to use deli sliced pepperoni, mushrooms, green olives, mild peppers and mozarella sliced or shredded. We dip it in pizza sauce or ranch dressing. Great "game day" meal. Passed the picky husband test and you can't beat that! Thank you for sharing your recipe!

Tex-Mex Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
My husband and I like this when we're running late for dinner. We use the Velveeta shells or elbow macaroni. It's always been a hit with the wee ones as well. Quick, easy and filling! Thank you for sharing!

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
I made this for my husband who doesn't like his food too rich and he loved it! Chocolate lovers will enjoy every morsel! I drizzled "Satiny Chocolate Glaze" recipe from another user and it worked perfectly! Thank you for sharing!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

This is easy and yummy. I fixed it up in the microwave as another had suggested and used it on the recipe for "Double Chocolate Brownie Cake." I'm sure I'll be using it again for another treat. Thanks for sharing!

No Bakes

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
I cut this recipe in half. At first my cookies were gooey, so I put them in the fridge and they were still gooey. I left them out overnight and this morning they were perfect! I think I may be using the wrong oatmeal, I'm sure it's something I'm not doing right. Anyway, I'm going to use this recipe until I get them right cause the taste I enjoyed as a child is still there! YUM! Thank you for sharing!

This is best when it is given time to set out a bit after it's done. It's even better the second day!

Loaded Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
This is just plain WONDERFUL! I doubled the recipe which makes a lot, so I gave some to family and they loved it too. I put in more onions and put them in the milk while it was cooking; I added a package of instant garlic & herb mashed potatoes which thickened it more, I put in some garlic powder and I added a lot more cheese cause it makes a killer cheesey potato soup. You can't just fix this and leave it on the stove, you have to stick with it, but it's worth it. It has endless possibilities for those of you who are creative. Best of all, I learned to fix potates without getting them too soft by microwaving them, now I can make potato salad! Thank you Claire, this one is a real jewel!

Kitty Kat Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2004
I found these cookies disappointing. They tasted like sugar layers between crackers. I couldn't even taste the chocolate. Storage was a problem as well because the crackers become soft. Out of the 12 people who tried them, nobody liked them.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2003
I melted my butter in the microwave and poured 12 of it on the mixture. When it seemed too dry, I realized I had not put the amount I was suppose to put in so I added the other 12 cup. I lightly sprayed the bottom of the pan with butter. Then after I had it all pressed in the bottom of the pan, I realized I left out 23 cup of the graham cracker crumbs. Needless to say, I didn't go back and add them. I melted my topping in the microwave as well. I must say, they are WONDERFULLY YUMMY and attractive as well. This is definitely a recipe for my

Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
I think this is a very good cookie. I enjoyed the taste, appearance & texture. I omitted the raisins for my son because he doesn't like them, but he didn't like the cookie either. He's finicky, so next time, raisins are in! I want to make them again and add fresh chopped apples, walnuts would be good as well. I will be putting this one on my list for Christmas baking.

Mandarin Orange Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2003
Based on previous reviews, I used orange cake mix instead of the yellow! It was fabulous! No leftovers with this cake. I plan to try pineapple cake mix next time. It was hard to stay out of the yummy topping! I find this to be a great summer cake; light, moist, chilled and topped with fluffy frosting! Thank you Ellen for sharing!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
This is absolutely fabulous! I put it on angel hair pasta and then threw some shrimp scampi on top. It passed my teen son's taste test as well and that's a big accomplishment. I pass this recipe on to anyone who says "I wish I knew how to make alfredo sauce." It doesn't get any easier than this! Thank you for sharing!

The Best Banana Pudding

YUM! YUM! This was a hit for our Easter dinner. I may replace the vanilla pudding for banana next time so it will be extra banana-ish! My guests are already wanting the recipe and it's definitely worth passing on. Thank you for sharing!

Husband's Delight

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2001
I wasn't fond of this right out of the oven. But I enjoy left-overs and each day in the microwave, it was more flavorful and then, an empty dish. My teen son didn't like it all. I think it would be a good recipe to add to and make it a more personal creation, a mexican flavor came to mind for me. I thought some taco seasoning, diced tomatoes and chiles instead and some black olives would be a good variation. I have already passed it on to others. Thank you for sharing!
